Stayed overnight prior to cruising.
Staff were exceptionally helpful with request to have room overlooking docks so we could see ship arrival.
Good location which meant a short walk to the cruise terminal, from where we were departing.
Was very busy, but to be expected.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable and we experienced little noise.
Close to amenities.
Only negative is non enforcement of smoking area meaning every time you go out of front entrance you are met with passive smoke, which was quite unpleasant as a non-smoker.
Would choose again if same needs arose.

We were attending a black tie do in the nearby marina so the hotel made an ideal place to stay although we live in Southampton. We had an executive room on the 8th floor with excellent sea views. Room had recently been refurbished. Plenty of towels and pillows. Bed super comfy with a great quilt. Breakfast 2s included. Self service buffet. Great staff.

We were utilising a couple of reward nights, staying in Southamptonon for a theatre trip, to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Whilst at the show, an unfortunate incident in the hotel car park resulted in significant damage to our car. Consequently, the hotel staff were amazing. Dominic and the rest of the team made sure that we were well looked after. They arranged taxis to and from a restaurant, sorted out large hot chocolates for the girls before bed and providedn complimentary breakfast for us all in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff went out of their way to make sure the weekend was still special. Everybody went way above and beyond, we couldn't have asked for more. We'll definitely stay here again

This hotel is perfect for those going on a cruise. The cruise port for our ship was waking distance away. Also, returning our rental car was easy, less than half a mile away. The front desk staff was great. Breakfast is extra, but good. We were very pleased with our spacious accommodations and service, however one incident slightly tarnished our visit. We arrived early and could not check in to our room for a couple of hours. While waiting in the lobby, I saw a station for tea and instant coffee. I assumed the tea that I made for wife and self was complementary, as it always is in Holiday Inns and even B&Bs and Hotels in Britain (the many we stayed in for 28 days). However, I was confronted by an angry woman in an apron that acted like I was stealing the tea. She took my name and added 4 pounds for the two cups of tea to our bill. I suggest the hotel post a notice that the tea and coffee are not complementary.

A good hotel for before a cruise, you can walk to the terminal. We took a private car service from Heathrow and the driver had a bit of an issue finding the hotel, but once there it was good. Would do it again. The only issue was the wait for a room to be ready.
