A Gem Of A Find
ticoninaon 10/09/2017 13:56Booked for one night as we were driving down to Sicily after some pretty disastrous nights previously were apprehensive as to what we would find. It was great, modern, clean and very welcoming. Our concierge Valentina was just lovely, arranging a taxi to take us to the old town and recommending a great little restaurant for dinner. Just spot on!
Cheap hotel, fine to sleep in but poor facilities
Neil Bon 07/09/2017 14:19Positives first: Location wise this is 5 minutes from the main high street where there are some shops and cafes. The room was modern in finish and had good aircon. We were met at check in as the reception is not in use or finished.
Negatives: the finish in the apartment was very poor. The plug socket in the bathroom had a gap between it and the tiles which made me very nervous with a young child travelling with us. The towel rail was hanging by a screw and could have fallen off at any moment. The room wasn't cleaned the day we were there. If you are going to cook for yourself, take your own cutlery as we had two plates, two forks and two glasses. The balcony didn't have any furniture, so we couldn't sit out on it in the evening. The floor was filthy when we got there, as we discovered when our son was crawling around on it.
Overall, if you need a place to sleep then this will do, but I wouldn't recommend for anything more than that.

David Hon 04/08/2017 22:12We thought we had found a good place to stop on our way from Sicily to Bari. Boy were we wrong. The reviews were good but on further look, they were at least two years old. The neighborhood was not very nice (this is an understatement). There is no front desk so you have to "arrange" to be let in. We texted and emailed but no one showed up. After waiting an hour we left and found a room at the Hotel Europa for about the same price.
Terrible
Alley Fon 04/08/2017 16:43Do not go here.!!!!! We booked a room and no one ever showed up to let us in!!! Beware. There is no front desk. Someone emailed me with a phone number to call when I got close and when I called no one answered just a recorded message. We waited 1/2 hour and then booked another place. Which was very nice.
Spacious modern accommodation at good value
David Son 28/09/2015 21:14The hotel offers spacious suite accommodation at a very reasonable price. The room and the rest of the hotel were very clean. Although the immediate surroundings are not so interesting, the hotel is well located, two blocks from the Corso Mancini which is the main commercial street, and a short walk into the old town. Breakfast was included in the room price and was extensive, slightly reduced on Sunday and Monday as there were fewer guests. The wifi connection in the room was excellent. We stayed here 5 nights and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cosenza or passing through. The city is very interesting and friendly, and merits at least two days to visit.
