Budget hotels in this part of China can be a lottery. Nice foyers often lead to ageing smoke smelling rooms but this was a fantastic surprise. It smells clean as soon as you walk in and the rooms follow suit. Good budget rate for a squeaky clean, fresh and functional room. Not fancy by any means but better than what you pay for.
Staff were friendly (which is a nice change from some of the terrible "sorry for bothering you" customer service we have got recently). English is very limited but unlike other places they made an effort to communicate as opposed to just give up. To be honest it was a blessed relief to find such a cheap, clean and simple hotel.

We stayed here for four nights whilst we renewed our visa in Leshan.
The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable and a good size. A very positive first impression. Breakfast is good value at 12 RMB for a decent buffet.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. Although they don't speak English, we were easily able to communicate what we wanted and that we needed proper registration for our visas. A very positive stay.

On the busy road but street noise didn't come to the rooms. My room was facing the street, lot of day light. Clean, basic hotel. Many restaurants, markets nearby. Staff was helpful, we manage to communicate even I didn't speak Chinese and they didn't speak English.

We stayes in this hotel for 2 nights because we wanted to extend our visa (which is by the way very easy and they can do it in 2 working days). I didnt expect to much of the hotel, but when we saw the room, I was in a positive way suprised. The room was big, the bed comfortable and in generell very clean. We had a room not facing the main road, so it was very quiet. The staff spoke just a little bit english and when we didnt understood each other, we used google translate. It worked just fine ;-) The breakfast is not included in the room price and costs approx. 12 Yuen per person. The breakfast was nothing special, but ok.
If you come by bus to Leshan, just ignore all the taxi drivers when you get of the bus. They will overcharge you. You can take a direct public bus (I think it was bus No 1) or wave a cap on the main road ( offiicial one).
