Clean and convenient to the Chesapeake area. Needs updating but staff friendly and polite. Decent breakfast complimentary dinner looked okay although we didn’t eat there. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by

This property is a little older but staff makes up for it. Complimentary dinner and breakfast were good, rooms were clean. Close to mall and area businesses. All staff folks were pleasant and helpful.

We had not stayed in Hilton’s lower end Homewood Suites before traveling to Norfolk/Chesapeake. The hotel is one of many amid a vast wasteland of strip malls, fast food restaurants, industrial and commercial low-rises, sloughs, and huge, empty parking lots. As Hilton HHonors members we chose the Homewood suites over the Hilton Garden Inn next door because of the full kitchen and extra space as depicted on the website. What the website misleadingly failed to mention is that this hotel caters to smokers with a whole wing devoted to smoking. Although we had a non-smoking room, there were cigarette burns in the carpet, and the entire hallway smelled of cigarette smoke upon entry after being outside. Moreover the sheets barely covered the king bed so we fought for the covers all night—and the fitted bottom sheet wouldn’t stay in place, requiring us to frequently push it back into place. We moved to the hotel next door.
On the positive side, the hotel staff and house cleaners were uniformly friendly and accommodating.

Nothing wrong with this Homewood Suites in terms of cleanliness, comfort and service. MY main issue was discovering I was in danger of slipping and falling in the bathtub when stepping in for a shower. Be aware -- the tub bottoms are perfectly smooth and slick as ice. My husband was grateful for the warning before his shower, and needed it.

I have had multiple great experiences at this hotel. Three different times to be exact and the hotel staff is always very nice and helpful. The cleaning service is always very attentive and does a great job every day while you're away! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
