I stayed at this Hotel a few weeks back and I was beyond pleased. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. One first desk agent in particular was extremely helpful her name was Reema and she made sure I got exactly what i wanted. The general manager and front office manager Dennis and Makra were also very helpful in making me feel right at home! The shuttle driver Ryan made sure I was able to get something to eat which was the cherry on top to a great stay. They sent me a survey via email which I accidentally rated wrong and when I went back to fix it, it said my survey had expired that is why I made it my mission to come on here and write a great review because everyone there deserves it they work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast was surprising wonderful. They has so much to choose from it was much more than a continental breakfast. If you are in the area I highly recommend you give this place a try.

The hotel is a bit worn, but clean and the public areas very nice (overseeing the waterfront). The complimentary breakfast food was above average for this chain, but the manager's reception was not. There was none on Sunday evening and on Monday it was hot dogs. Not sure what it was the rest of the week. The front desk staff were extremely accommodating. My only complaint was it was hard to regulate the water temperature in the shower. Also, while close to I-880, it was not convenient to get on and off or across the freeway. Few good restaurant choices (or other stores) nearby. Overall pretty good, but not perfect.

Very well appointed, clean and spacious room in a beautiful setting. Lovely and quiet surroundings for good night's sleep. Hotel offers shuttle to rapid transit system for very easy access to the City.

I stayed at the Homewood Suites Oakland Waterfront on November 4th, 2017. I chose the property due to the proximity to where I was working on Saturday and Sunday.
I was immediately greeted by Reema with a warm and friendly greeting. Reema went out of her way to ensure that I felt uniquely welcomed and that my needs were met. I stay about 150 nights a year at hotels around the United States and I would put Reema's welcome in the very top of my experiences for 2017. Well done Reema!

Great hotel and great customer service. The hotel is next to Lake Merrit. I had dinner in the patio and it was peaceful to look over the lake. Starbucks is next door. I would recommend this hotel while in Oakland.
