I have stayed at this hotel during the last weekend. I found the cleanliness of the hotel was poor, decoration of hotel was outdated and most facilitates were poor maintained and deteriorated.
In guestroom, some wooden furniture and fixtures were chipped and color faded out. A lot of stains and cigarette burn marks were found on carpet. The closet door could not slide smoothly and I needed to move it very hard every time. The computer and software inside were all outdated. I had tried to browse some web-sites but in vain. It was because the web-sites requested me to update the browser at first. Cigarette smell was found from the pillows. Even worse, a few water was dripping from the air-conditioner. Black stains were found on the grouting between wall tiles in shower cubicle. Urine smell was found from the toilet bowl and the flushing water was not strong enough…..
Besides that, I had tried the breakfast on 1/F. It seemed that the dining area is not a restaurant but a foyer right in front of lift landing area. It was a buffet style but with limited choice and some even with poor quality or taste, e.g. the egg had been fried for a long period of time and became cold, the mini pastry was found a little bit sticky and cold as well……
I realise that a new building is building right next to the hotel. In the future, the guestrooms with river view will definitely block by this new building. There will be no more nice view for the whole hotel.
The location of the hotel is not good. If you take subway, you need to take at least 10-minute walk to the nearest station and it takes about 50 minutes to Guangzhoudong Station. If you take a taxi, I have tried once and it takes about an hour due to traffic jam.
If I pay such price, I can definitely find another hotel better than this one. I don’t think I will come back again.

The rooms are ok. Convenient and good staff
It was a nice stay being my first visit in China.
Very convenient to get the transport at any time in day or night.
In Hongfan hotel we enjoyed buffet breakfast and shuttle service to canton fair was good
