First visit. Rooms lovely, clean, modern, cosy and comfortable. Staff on bar, check in and breakfast couldn’t be more helpful, fabulous. Italian restaurant excellent food and service. Would highly recommend. Don’t go past it if planning a visit.

We have been here for the past two years running and it’s lovely!
Good service and the food is amazing!
Fish started anti pasta and then the crab ravioli for main! Lovely!
Would definitely recommend to couple of families.
Nice to see all the food is made fresh and you can see them cooking in the kitchen.

On our yearly visit to Alnmouth we always look forward to dining at the hope and Anchor and it never disappoints, from fresh sea food to pasta and Pizza we always enjoy. Sunday lunch is also fantastic and at all times very dog friendly

This was the last night of a 150 mile Reivers Way walk and was a bit disappointing. I had a very small twin bed room over a vent from the pub which was noisy and had only a very small window to open (kept it closed because of the noise). The bed and bathroom very comfortable, and the barman, who seemed to have to do everything, was very helpful. Very good food (dinner and breakfast) in the pub.

This was our second stay in twelve months at the Hope & Anchor, and this stay was just as good as the first.
When we booked back in April the staff told us that that Kittywake was the best room, so that’s what we booked. The room was quite large with acres of space. The bathroom was a decent size as well.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
There was a good selection at breakfast, and the full English was extremely good.
As it was a birthday weekend we took a bottle of fizz. After our breakfast we put the fizz in the wash hand basin in cold water, so it would be chilled on our return in the afternoon. We came back only to find that the room had been tidied, and the fizz was in an ice bucket with two champagne flutes alongside. A really nice touch.
