These aren't luxury lodgings, but it's a nice, small hotel. We traveled through West Point on the way to see the eclipse and stayed one night. There's a nice little pool and a hot tub, vending machines for drinks and snacks, and a Runza across the parking lot. Try the original Runza. Pretty good for a fast food place. But I digress. Back at the hotel, the room was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, and the staff was delightfully friendly and helpful. In the morning, you get a decent breakfast that's included in your room rate. About the only thing I would suggest for improvements would be a newer television, but I imagine they'll get around to replacing them soon enough. Overall, I give it a solid recommendation if you're in the area and need a decent place to stay at a reasonable rate.

Our stay at the Horizon was very enjoyable. I would like to commend the staff. The lady and gentleman behind the desk that we worked with went out of their to make our stay comfortable and went out of their way to accommodate us! The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast that was included was good and had a variety of choices. There is a pool, but we did not make use of it. Parking is readily available. Kudos to staff from the desk to housekeeping!

Rooms are always clean and neat. As a frequent visitor, I find that they continue to make necessary updates to the rooms and common areas. With relatives in the area, I'm thankful accommodations like this are available. Runza is close for a fast sandwich or a $1 ice cream cone and Shopko for picking up any necessary items. Additionally, a gas station is right across the street.

Guest clerks, maid service and management were friendly and very professional.We will attempt to stay there every time we are in that area.
Book in advance. Breakfast was very good and convenient Within walking distance to restaurants.

Convenient location beside 275 in West Point. Shopko nearby for any unexpected needs. Runza near as well. Friendly staff. Typical hotel breakfast spread, but adequate. Nice touch is free waters and popcorn in the fridge to pop. Microwave and fridge. Clean, clean, clean, as has been stated. They allowed a late check out as we'd come for a funeral but then I became ill while staying. I was also impressed that they said they don't rent the room out for at least 24 hours if they knew someone was sick in it. Impressive management of germs. As an RN, that impressed me.
Quiet stay, good beds, pillows, and toiletries provided. We had an old tube TV - I noticed the open room across had a flat screen, so maybe they'll upgrade when this one dies? Also free tea, coffee or hot chocolate during stay. Little extra touches like this make staying at a hotel more enjoyable. Nice management, Denise!
