It is a very Nice, clean hostel.
Located in the main backpackers area in Cartagena. It is great for a good night sleep but just few steps away from all the party places. It also has a rooftop terrace, great for sunsets.
Staff is very nice and friendly!

La Casona is an old house in an old neighborhood. Iris and the rest of staff will do anything to help you and make you feel at home. Like constant thermos with hot delicious coffee and water for tea. Excellent Wi-Fi.
The only negative is that the rooms are a bit small, but for the price and central location i could not ask for more.
It might be noisy due to road construction.

This hotel is a sweet deal in terms of a clean room, with private bathroom, good working air-conditioning at a three minutes walk from the old city center.
Just don't expect to sleep. The guests have little parties in the patio, with voices to raise the dead. The receptionist is very much part of the problem as he talks loudly and for hours into the night with whomever happens to be around. When I asked him to lower his voice he looked at me with utter disbelief, then refuted he had been talking long and finally claimed I just had to concentrate on sleeping.
Breakfast is lousy but that was the least of my concern.

The hostel is very well located in a nice neighborhood. The hostel itself was very disappointed. Rooms smells mouldy and we had actually a mouse in the room. That was not worst. That's the continuing sounds in the hostel starting at 6 in the morning staff yelling to each other. After two days staying here we are exhausted.

This hostel even has a free icemachine for guests!! Do I have to say more? A nice outside aree with little lounges over 3 levels surrounding a palmtree courtyard with a rooftop terrace... the open air kitchen has all the basics and more, a fruit juicer, micro, toaster, ICEMACHINE, breakfast with eggs, butter etc free to prepare...its crazy! huge fridge for all your beer and rum ; )
