The hostel took a minute to find from the bus station, but once there we were shown to our (very clean) room and around the hostel. The atmosphere is so much fun, with a young crowd usually staying there. The restaurant staff and front desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. Was on a first name basis with most of them by the end of our stay. The hostel is located right in the center of town which was amazing for us as we were looking to have easy access to bars and restaurants but can be very loud in the morning. Overall the staff made our stay phenomenal!! Would return in a second.

as above ,rooms a bit run down but for the price fair,would stay again,being right at the main square was great,balcony off the restuarant was overlooking the square and a great place to have a beer or cocktail,

We had a very good stay here! Staff was very friendly and booked us to a room (4bed dorm) where we could use the lower beds of the bunkbeds even there were other guests in the hostels but spread to other rooms (so we had the dorm for us), very nice. There was an ensuite bathroom with a very hot shower and good pressure. They offer towels for free as well. Wifi was also very good. They have a restaurant where you can get cheap breakfast and other dishes. They can help you with bookings. Did their double decker bus tour for just usd 6 which was great (convenient way to see Pailon del Diablo, impressive, usd 2 entry). Location couldn't be better, right next to the plaza and 5min walk to the bus terminal. Only thing, might be a bit cleaner and it's not the newest, but no big deal and especially no complaint for this price. Overall, would come again and great value for money!

The staff went over and above to help us out and we were so pleased with the service. Rooms were secure with lockers and the beds were comfy. They let us use the restaurant kitchen and the cooks were very friendly and welcoming! Spot on location in Banos and the hostel has all the information on what activities to do and where to go for free activities! Would really recommend this place!!

We booked a double room and were very happy with everything. The hostel is perfectly placed between the bus terminal and the numerous travel agencies. Unfortunately the walls are quite thin so it can be noisy sometimes but it was okay. Every member of the staff that we met was very welcoming and nice! Huge thumbs up for them! The place makes you feel comfortable and gives you the typical feeling you are looking for when backpacking. If you don't need luxury and just want a modest, clean place where you can rest your weary feet after a night of partying or a day of canyoning we would highly recommend the hostel Erupción :)
