The staff was so nice, they helped us with the tours. We went walking from the hotel to the Zoo and the museum. The breakfast was tasty and super filling. The rooms were clean, and everything seems just like in the pictures. The decoration of the house is quite interesting. The location is excellent, and the neighborhood is really safe (plus there is an outstanding Bakery (can´t remember its name) close to the round point "portada al mar". My only complain was the noise at 7 am, caused by the blender to prepare delicious fruit juices.

The good about this place is that it is quiet and clean with a very friendly staff. Nice location. Safe to walk around the streets. The price is very reasonable.
We stayed twice, once for six days, and two weeks later for one night two weeks later.
The one short coming which may be major for some people was that there was no hot water. Or if there was "hot" water it was tepid for about two or three minutes before going cold.
Breakfast is decent but a little slow and modest. A small amount of fruit, a piece of bread, and scrambled eggs. Coffee (just one cup) arrived after breakfast. For the price, one should not expect anything more.
Manager is pleasant but not on site much of the time or in the evenings, nights, and early morning. Rest of staff does not speak English. At night the staff consists of the guard on duty.
I would certainly stay there again as the price was right. It is safe and clean, but in my month in Colombia, every place we stayed was exceptionally clean.

After our stay at this hostel, my family & I came away with one word in mind: "Outstanding".
It is a lovely tranquil abode with colonial architecture, conveniently located in the west part of Cali, where we felt quite safe.
The rooms are clean, tidy & comfortable, with bath attached. The hostel is secure & very well managed. Included are hot water showers, air conditioning, wifi, phone, & cable TV. The breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed, is excellent.
The staff are simply wonderful - they are efficient, polite, courteous, and always willing to assist. Clara (the manager) went out of her way to help us with information, tickets to events, taxis, etc. She speaks English, French & Spanish. She is a wonderful ambassador for Cali.
We highly recommend this hostel. It is great value for money!

March 2012. We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water and and an extremely nice staff. The rooms were charming and the breakfast was delicious - our first breakfast in Colombia. There is internet connection and we were able to print out our boarding passes. We look forward to going back.
