My wife and I were cycling around the Gaspe and the Hostellerie Baie Bleue looked like a good place to stop for the night. Great location on the water and the room was enormous with a large leather couch in the living room area and a king-size bed. Very friendly staff.

We stayed for one night and we were very disappointed. We stayed in a room across the street by the sea.
The bedroom was very dark and the lighting was very poor.
The mattress was lumpy, old and we had a very bad night sleep.
The wifi didn't work and when I went to report my issue to the front desk , Nancy the front desk agent told me that she will send someone to trouble shoot the issue. An hour later I called the front desk and I talked with Nancy again and I told her that the wifi was still not working but she assured me that it was working because someone came to trouble shoot and had fixed it.
It was not working and it was hard for me to believe that the hotel had an IT employee working at this time of the day.
The worst thing that happen was that the bath tub drain was clogged and the water was draining very very slowly. It was disgusting to take a shower and having your feet and your ankles staying in dirty water.
When I mentioned all these issues at check out the next morning the front desk agent gave me a $ 10.00 discount!
I was expecting a larger discount for all all these shortcoming.
Way overpriced for a terrible stay.
I will never stay in your hotel again.
Please have your maintenance department keep your expensive rooms in working order and fix your internet.

Stayed here for one night. We had requested a refrigerator in our room upon booking as we were traveling as a family and had things that needed storing. Upon arrival we were told that there were no refrigerators left in the hotel as they were booked to capacity. One employee was kind enough to bring us some ice to put in our coolers. Our room was nice, overlooking the pool and Baie des Chaleurs. However, there were not enough towels nor amenities to accommodate us! There are tables set up to look out at the Bay. The swimming pool is cool and the kids enjoyed it. We enjoyed having breakfast on those tables and enjoyed the fire in the evening. The only issue was that the staff seemed overwhelmed by the numerous guests.

Very nice welcome from the front desk staff,they gave us a room close to the bay;the room was fine and spacious enough,quiet so we had a nice sleep.
Very good service from all the staff who make your stay very pleasant.

We spent two nights at the Hostellerie Baie Bleue, using the town of Carleton sur Mer as a base while we explored the Baie de Chaleur. Lots to see, including a fossil park, Mont St. Joseph, the Bioparc zoo and sport fishing in the vicinity.
Our rooms had large windows facing the parking lot. To get some privacy, we had to close the blinds, but the indoor lights were too dim at night.
Both rooms were a bit dated, but spacious. Washrooms were clean and hot water plentiful. Unfortunately the outdoor pool across the street was closed for the season.
The buffet breakfast was excellent - the best during our Gaspesie trip. We had one dinner at their fine dining restaurant. It was OK, nothing to write home about. A bit pricey, but good selection of wines on the menu.
