good hostel for the tranquility, good personnal and bed, property of the room and the bathroom, gratis parking but it is not posssible to eat at the restaurant of the hotel the night of saturday and you can not eat the morning before 8:00

Details on location of hotel following booking as it is not the easiest place to find. However in terms of the hotel it was actually brilliant in all respects. The staff ( and I presume owners) were brilliant throughout our short stay and were great at overcoming the language barrier in their explanations of items on the menu and at breakfast everything was explained and help readily available. Overall the service was really, really good and we would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again,

We decided to book this quite pricy hotel for an overnight stop on our way to the Channel tunnel.
The reviews on here are fabulous, superior hosting, delicious food, comfortable rooms etc.
We were expecting a lovely meal in the on-site gourmet restaurant and a restful nights sleep.
On arrival on Saturday we were informed that the restaurant was closed for the weekend.
This must be the only eating establishment in the universe which closes it's doors at the busiest time of the week.
The rooms are hung with maroon wallpaper which could be referred to by some as cozy, but to us are just made a small space more cramped, dark and claustrophobic. The interior is a typical holiday inn type generic hotel design. The lamp shades have a strange way on just brushing past them in detaching themselves from their position with loud bangs.
We put our valuables in the safe, expecting it to conform to your average safe design as there weren't any instructions included . I.e. You enter 4 digits number press hash etc.. To our surprise we found out on the next morning that it only took 6 digits numbers and that we should have asked before using it. Being in a hurry to make the train we were then left with the uncertainty whether we could get it open at all.
On the positive side I am sure the hosts have very superior hosting skills but we got very little opportunity to experience any indication of this.
It is true, the gardens are lovely, the place is on top of small hill and the views are amazing. This terrain lends itself to a great bird watching holiday as I am reliably informed.
Breakfast you pay € 15 extra so I didn't include this in my review as the price for the hotel is just for a bed rather than bed and breakfast.
A self-help buffet style affair. The quality of the food and ingredients are very good I must say, however orange juice is not freshly squeezed and the facility for getting a soft boiled in the communal hot water contraption has never been a successful result for me, having come across this in other places before. The croissant and rolls are nice and crispy.

Perfect stay. Very kind staff. Excellent food. We felt very comfortable there. Looking forward to enjoy futre spa extension. Will make this place even better. Ideal starting point to visit Luxembourg.

We needed some rest and fled to this hotel of Silence. Lovely location, great hospitality, comfortable, fresh and delicious food, committed staff, beautiful rooms. We had a walk in the neighbourhood. They are planning on adding a wellness for the fall. I warmly recommend it.
