Hotel 10 is absolutely the best newest hotel in Montreal. You are close to pretty much every area of the Downtown area. You are walking distance from Place des Arts, from Crescent street and from Ste-Catherine West. I have visited this hotel with my bulldog twice already and the employees are always happy to see us and they welcome us like we were long time friends. Even though there is a nightclub in the basement, I never heard any loud people on the street. And on both occasions, I had a room on St-Laurent or Sherbrooke street. It is not like you would be in the country, but for a downtown hotel, this is more than acceptable. Another thing is that the floors of the old Godin building are made of cement. So you do not hear anyone walking on your head! Finally, the best floor is definitely the third floor where the Dede Fortin suite is situated. Being from Quebec, this shrine to one of our best poets ever is close to my heart. Hotel 10 has definitely a special place in my heart and I will definitely go back.

The hotel is very nice, the service was also very nice.
My two minor complaints:
1. The gym equipment needs to be updated, it is a little run down and the treadmill was very noisy. There is also no pool, sauna or hot tub to relax in at the end of a long day.
2. The pillows were too big and fluffy, most may like that, but I do not, so I either had to have neck pain all week or sleep with no pillow. No option as other hotels do for flatter or softer pillows. (pillow are to big to pack if you don't want to check baggage on your flight). Needless to say, I did not sleep well because of that.

The location was convenient for venturing on St. Laurent and decently close to the metro. Lobby is nice and the bar looked nice although we never actually went there for drinks. The room was decent with a comfortable bed and great pillows but definitely cheaply up kept - in other words, there was paint on the handle of the bathroom door, our towel bar was holding on by a thread etc... Having said that I am a designer and notice these little details where others may not.
Our room was exceptionally loud due to the busy intersection that the hotel sits on. I feel like investing in some window treatments to dampen the noise would be well worth it to improve the guest experience.

Where to start? The hotel is above a nightclub, so all night long it is surrounded by loud, drunken, smokers that you will have to push past if you are coming from the nearest train station (Saint Laurent). It is also quite loud in the hallways from the club and the restaurant. The HVAC is of poor quality; it was over 23 degrees in my room and I had to get them to reset the unit in my room. It too 48 hours to get the room down to 20 degrees. A maintenance man entered unannounced to fix my toilet (I never called about a toilet issue) one morning. The restaurant is only open limited hours. The salon was never open the entire time I was there. On check out there was only one person working the front desk, and I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay (perhaps she assumed I didn't). The location is pretty good, right across from Just for Laughs, close to a metro stop, and an easy walk anywhere on the Plateau or Downtown.

I stayed at hotel 10 twice this year. Both times I loved everything about this hotel, location, room cleanness and the staff. Let me start with the front desk, I received a very fast professional service (met all my requests). Sabrina (Front Desk Supervisor) is an excellent supervisor, she will go out of her way to make sure that everything is PERFECT with your stay. This hotel offers drop off service in downtown area only, I dealt with Maxime and he is an amazing guy, and I'm sure all the others are good like him.
Bottom line, this is my second home every time I'm back to Montreal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Montreal.
