I everytime stay in this hotel when i come to Singapore since the location is quite near to my daughter's school. so it is easy for me to send and pick my daughter's up at her sch. my daughter's stay with me at 81 kovan everytime i come. with that price i think this hotel is okay..it is clean enough, not that big room such 5 star hotel but it is okay remembering the price. for me clean is the most important part. the hotel staff are very friendly also the cleaning service lady, shes sooooo nice. I have no complaint for this hotel. it is close to the bus stop, close to serangoon mall and serangoon mrt and esp near to my daughter's sch. keep the good work 81 Kovan

This is a building that has bedrooms to rent by the hour as used by the locals and by the day etc. Its mainly used by the locals renting by the hour, this doesn't mean its a bad place to stay. I spent 13 nights in this "hotel" and as the room was at the back away from the road it was very quiet, didn't hear any noise from the rooms around me.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and generally are very clean with new towels, tea and coffee, and water. If your just looking for a place to rest your head and not have all the frills of the big chain hotels this could be the place to stay.
If you want good food and drink try the Grapevine Cafe Bar just up the road on the opposite side.

For 80sgd a night, the room was spacious (unlike other budget hotels in SGD for the same price). It was very clean and amenities satisfactory. My room did not have a window which I was OK with. There is a 7 eleven ,pizza place and indian food restaurant downstairs so quite convenient for food. Kovan MRT is a bus trip away.
Highly recommended for inexpensive stay.

Booked a night for my friend due to his operation in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital the next day.
There is no smoking room in this hotel and the desk only have 1 pack of 3 in 1 coffee and tea respectively.
It's not close to any MRT, closest is Kovan which is not within walking distance.
There is a 7-11 just beside and an Indian coffeehouse selling food if you are hungry.
A very budget stay.

13days in this hotel.its a very nice and clean hotel with very friendly and nice stuff.Shaun and Amal are very friendly and provide very good service.We have stayed in this hotel many times and we definitely will choose this hotel next time we come to Singapore.
