Charming, quaint and perfect location

This is an old property but charming with it. Our room was just a room with a shower room and toilet in the corner. It was perfect for our stay. Very close to the Cathedral (2 mins walk), firm bed, hot shower, and not a huge place so as to generate noise from other guests. Wifi was great, shower was hot and the breakfast was a typical continental with the nicest croissants I've ever had. Ideal. Thanks
Friendly, Charming Hotel

This is a great walk-up hotel in a charming old building in an a fantastic location down the street from the Duomo. Both ensuite rooms and good, clean separate facilities. Very helpful and friendly staff!
Traditional hotel but upstairs

This is a tradional style hotel which I think is typical of this grade of hotel in Florence.
The first thing to say the hotel is only claiming 1 star and the 2nd thing is that its up 2 flights of stairs - no lift.
Our room was pretty big and had everything we needed and the room was clean and tidy and done in a renaisance style. However the maintainance of the bathroom in particular was quite poor with a less than average shower and some old style electrics.
The windows on the room also did not shut properly but despite that the main street is remekably quite overnight so sleep not too much of an issue.
Breakfast is a simple bu adequate and served in the lobby area - which can get a bit busy at times.
However, it is a great location for Florence - it took us 10-15 minutes with cases to walk from the train station to here - made slower by the current roadworks and then it takes about 10 mins to walk up to the Dumo complex in the centre of town, so great location.
Just nearby there are plenty of eateries so no need to go too far at night.
So in summary, good location (if you dont mind stairs), but needs some work on the building.

This was my second time staying at Hotel Abeco, and i would never want to stay anywhere else in Florence! Charm, friendliness, breakfast, just the best! Arora is a wonderful hostess and makes us feel like old friends.
Noisy, small and bad service

We only stayed here for one night and we were happy to leave. The location of the hotel is perfect since it’s right in the center of Firenze but everything else was disappointing. The room was incredibly noisy both because of the traffic downstairs and because of the reception and breakfast all being on the same floor. The front door of our room led to the breakfast area and the reception. I have also never encountered such a small bathroom! The toilet was practically beneath the shower. Furthermore, we came by car and had to pay 26 euros to park it in a parking garage connected to the hotel even though this was not mentioned on the website. On top of it all, we had to wait 45 minutes before someone had time to take the car to the garage. There is also no elevator and the breakfast was very cheap. All in all we would not stay here again.
