We recently stayed at this lovely hotel. It is very conveniently located just steps from the train station making arriving by train with luggage and 3 kids a breeze. Since Venice is so small and walk-able we were able to check in and walk clear across town to St. Mark's square for lunch. The bedding was not as comfortable as other hotels, but the location and staff made up for this small inconvenience! We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is very conveniently located. Found it the first time. Just 3 min from the train station. The desk manager was really helpful and even assigned an usher to lead the way. The room was very spacious and the toilet extraordinary. The whole family was really happy with the room. It was a 4 bedded room.
Breakfast came with the room charge and it was great. We had one of the best breakfast in Italy. It has ham and cheese, a whole spread of cereals and fruits; pastries and doughnuts for the sweet tooth. But I really like the cappuccino served from the waiter. It was creamy and delicious. You got to ask for it.
And all day they do serve complimentary afternoon tea and black coffee with some pastries. I really appreciated it after a good walk in the city and to return to the hotel and have coffee at the lounge area.
Definitely a highly recommended hotel to stay in Venice.

My husband and I recently spent three days in Venice and stayed in this lovely, charming hotel, formerly a monastery. This hotel is perfectly situated since it is very, very close to the train station, and we had travelled by high speed train from Florence to Venice. It is just off the Grand Canal so water taxis, water buses and gondolas are easily accessible. As well, there is a multitude of restaurants, shops, etc. literally right outside the front door. The front desk staff are very friendly, professional with delightful Venetian charm. This hotel is steeped in history and has a beautiful courtyard in which to relax on a warm afternoon. Guests must turn the room key in when leaving the building as room cards are not available here, and while we felt like we were being troublesome on occasions when we made quick stops back to the room and then were again, the staff were always smiling and never made us feel like we were bothering them. Breakfast buffet is included but is somewhat limited, and on our final morning there the hotel had no hot water. Nevertheless, I still have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Any shortcomings were overshadoweded by its positive aspects. In addition, for people who enjoy walking as we do, all the sightseeing landmarks were within eady walking distance.

A wonderful old monastery that is within walking distance to everything you can want in Venice. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the accommodations where excellent. The courtyard was serene and to hear the bells was a wonderful experience. I would stay there again when I go to Venice.
