Stayed at this hotel twice before, first solo and most recently (March 2016) with family. Enjoyed both stay, the room was quite large by Japanese standards, location is excellent near the bay and walking distance to many attractions. Helpful staff. Will stay there again next time visiting Beppu.

My family has stayed here several times. It`s our go to hotel in Beppu. The price is very good for the area and the rooms are huge for Japan. The breakfast is very nice in the morning. It`s also a great location to get to very good restaurants, sand bath (if you want to try) or the shopping mall on the other side of the small park if you need a walk around indoors. Only about 10 mins drive to the aquarium and monkey mountain too.
Of course the onsen on the top floor is very nice. Small if other guest are there with you, but still great to relax in during the evening.

Easily reachable by car and free parking. Stayed here for 1 night - room and fittings are very very basic.
To be honest it felt like a cheaper range hotel than it was. Nothing really wrong but all feeling very old and outdated. Not the usual base quality we have come to expect in Japan in this price range. We wouldn't stay here again.

Very good small hotel in a convenient location. Near bus & train station. Good morning breakfast spread. As mentioned by other reviewer, room smelled of smoke but just open up the windows and smell should clear in about 5 minutes. Awesome seaviews

I chose this hotel because of location. It was close to the walking area of restaurants, oceanside, and close to the train station. It was clean, cozy and breakfast was included. The rooftop hot tub afforded nice views of the city. I would stay here again.
