Comfortable rooms, balcony, breakfast room and terrace upstairs with view on the sea and towards the greek ruins of Selinunte. Helpful reception attendants and nice table service with especially good antipasti.

When booking this trip, it was a toss up between the Alceste and the Admeto. Because I would be in the Archeological Park and the Nature Reserve all of the 2 days I would be in Selinunte, I decided on the cheaper optio - The Alceste. I was not dissapointed. I had a lovely room on the second floor with a large balcony and a partial sea view, down the side of the Admeto, which is directly opposite.
The room was spotless, as was the bathroom. The bedlinedn was excellent and the bed very comfortable. I would say that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that is going on in the next room. The doors do bang at night and the locks are clunky and loud, but I slept well.
Breakfast was provided in the Admeto, which is run by the same director. The restaurant on the fourth floor of the Admeto is spectacular. When the weather is fine, breakfast tables are laid out on the open air sun terrace, with spectacular views over the whole of Selinunte.
The decision is yours. If you can aford the few pounds mor for the Admeto stay there. There is ample parking for both hotels, which are surrounded by very good restaurants and bars.

with a balcony towards the sea. Lovely.
The best part of the stay was the breakfast, at the neighbouring hotel, top floor, lovely food and a magnificent view towards the sea.

On the good side, great breakfast, NO wifi in the rooms only at the reception, shower door broken, not cheap, needs a renovation. I would not recommend for that price 65 Euro. The parking is not suffi ient for all the rooms, so you need to be lucky

I've been in Selinunte for a week and I chose the Hotel Alceste that I found on the internet.
I also checked out the reviews here on tripadvisor, as I usually do... not that weel I see, but the price was good so that I say c'mon, let's try, it could not be that bad. And it was not at all!
Room was good, large enough, clean enough, air conditioning, terrific sea view! As well as breakfast... They also had typical english breakfast but I was in Sicily, I had to try cappuccino and cornetto!
And waiters at the restaurant as well as the staff were so kind... they suggested me the best place to visit nearby, were to try the best drinks, how to spend nightlife... I'm really satisfied and happy for choosing Alceste!
