The Alfonso is a truly Grand Palace Hotel in historicist andalucian style from 1928. All the public areas (entrance hall, staircase, halls and its courtyard) are decorated with traditional ornaments and craft. A true gem in good shape!
Our spacious and recently refurbished room exuded the rich history of Andalucia which we appreciated a lot: Marble floors, coffered ceiling, plastering frieze and wall ornaments, chandelier, moorish bathroom tiles, historic photographs.
(-During our 4 day-trip, the carpet around the bed wasn't vacuum cleaned a single time)
Breakfast took place in the lovely arcades around the courtyard and offered a wide selection of everything. The numerous service staff was eager but was organised unhappily.
The pool in the garden in the midst of the city is a delight - altough the water was extremely cold and no one could have a swim. (around 1. November, but daily temperature rose up to 30 degrees and every lounger was occupied).
In the evenings we enjoyed the outdoor terrace of casual Ena Restaurant, which is part of the hotel. Pampered on this terrace under the stars and looking over to the historic town and into the palm trees was a feeling like 1001 nights…
I definitely recommend Hotel Alfonso XIII and look forward to come back one day!

This hotel was a former Royal Palace and doesn’t disappoint it’s less than royal hotel guests. Stunning architecture, smooth fantastic service from clued in desk staff and wait staff ensure a flawless experience throughout. It’s a five star hotel and it’s worth every one in this case , American Bar is simply stunning, courtyard area now glazed magnificent setting for drinks or lunch etc. Everything lives up to expectations here , pool area gardens also worth checking out.

The location is very good . Near the shops and old town.
The breakfast was vary and delicious.
The services and staff were excellent.
The room was good but the walldrop was huge and it seemed un tique .
The shower was perfect .

We are on a first time tour of Spain and I ur excellent travel agent Judy Kurzban planned a spectacular trip and our recent at the hotel Alfonso XIII was another great choice. Our driver from the train station told us we were in for a treat and he was right. From the greeting at the door to the warm hello at the front desk to the escort to our room, the level of service was outstandingly. Our room on the first floor was comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms are huge and modern with every amenity. Breakfast buffet gives new meaning to the word. It had the largest variety of items we had ever seen. Service is impeccable. We had drinks on the terrace bar, one of the best we have been to. Even had dinner in the hotel dining room and again food and service were superb.
Can’t say enough about this hotel that IS Sevilla. Make this your home when visiting.

Picked this hotel from the pictures and it did not disappoint. Also glad to have parking because not a good idea to drive in Seville.
Compared to the other three places we stayed the room was smaller and only one sink in the small bathroom. It also had a short glass wall on the tub allowing water to spill onto the floor but great water pressure.
The tile and ceiling and chandelier were spectacular. The decorations were tasteful.
We did have trouble the first night with a woman talking loudly on the phone until late into the night. We also had to call for our safe to be opened twice because apparently the batteries had gone bad.
Everyone was very accommodating and the breakfast buffet was quite extensive. If it was not a museum of tile and frescoes and chandeliers I would probably have picked a cheaper place. Glad I picked it this time.
