My husband and I planned a teacher retreat for teachers from the northern part of Nicaragua. The staff was incredible every step of the way - from pricing and booking to service and support during the retreat. They helped accommodate our changing guest list. They helped us set up everything during the retreat, including shuttles and taxis and dinners. They also were incredibly helpful days after as we finalized everything. Everyone we met on staff was really amazing. We would recommend this hotel for group stays, especially if you are looking for a place close to the park. It is a great deal for the location and, again, the staff is very helpful.

Perfectly situated right on the Park Central, the Alhambra offers a wonderful authentic Colonial hotel experience. A bit old and frayed at the edges, but most of the rooms are big, and the value is fantastic. Hotel Plaza Colon is undoubtedly a superior hotel, decide if you want to pay the superior price. And if not, this is the place. I enjoy perching on the veranda and watching Granada go by. Most of the staff have been here a long time, are part of the furniture so to speak, and I find them friendly and helpful. My go to for Granada!

One thing that is impossible to miss is that the hotel is gorgeous. The architecture, the patterns, the attention to detail, fountains, etc. are very beautiful and historic.
Having said that, being an older hotel it is a little more relaxed on tidiness than it could be. The rooms could have looked more polished, the beds cleaner (I'm sure they were fine, but the linen was old, faded and, well unhappy). I didn't mind because it was all part of the experience, but do not expect crisp pillows and polished cabinets.
The location of the hotel is ideal, within easy walking distance to many of the attractions.
I only had two bones to pick. One was that the staff at breakfast seemed completely indifferent when there were no tables available, except in the sun, where it was obviously too hot. Just could not care less in general. The other was that it was difficult for us to find the rooms, since they are split into sections with different numbers and not well sign-posted, so I spent 10 minutes going up and down stairs with a heavy suitcase in the wrong part of the hotel.
I would stay here again, but it's good to come prepared with the knowledge that not everything will be perfect. But maybe that's part of the charm?

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a huge room. Room was clean as well. Staff at hotel is very friendly. The location of the hotel is just perfect. The hotel has a small swimmingpool. When staying there we had the pool to ourselves which was great. We had a perfect stay here

Nice hotel. The rooms are big enough. Good service only the breakfast takes some time. Cleaning service is good. Free water...😊. The Location is perfect. In the Middle of the centre of Granada. It is also safe
