Basic but clean and friendly - great for a family stopover

The guy on reception was lovely, there was free on street parking outside. We had a family room which was a good size with two singles and a double bed. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was pretty dated but did the job with a shower, a loo and a very small bath tub. There was a little noise from the street at 2am but nothing major. The windows were open which was nice to be able to open the windows in a hotel room. Oh and a view of snow capped mountains was a bonus.
Treated like a family member

whilst staying in Perpignan to watch rugby league I had a reoccurrence of an old knee injury- the owners of this hotel were brilliant and provided me with crutches and sympathy- they made me feel like a family member and for that alone I would recommend this the place to stop in Perpignan.
Convenient to the old city

Stayed here for one night before we flew home from Perpignan airport. Ten minutes walk from the old city. Room was quite spacious. The guy on reception was very helpful with everything. The walls were a bit thin so you could hear noises from other rooms but wasn't an issue. Bathroom could probably do with a refresh although it was perfectly clean. Air-con was a bit noisy also. Wi-fi was excellent and free. We could leave our bags in a separate room after check out until our evening flight. Would be perfect for a rugby weekend away.
Better than first impression.

Close to the centre of the old town - about 6 or 7 minutes walk. Parking in the surrounding streets is free and both nights we were here we found a free park 5 or less minutes away. A big bonus because the room was very reasonably priced; Spain prices in France which is what attracted us. At first glance the hotel is somewhat aged and in need of some paint and new floor coverings. And the room was the smallest we have had in five weeks of travel. But it is clean, two wardrobes, one with big mirror, a USB charging adaptor (this was a first), aircon and a modest sized, tiled and spotless bathroom, including a bidet. We didn't have breakfast but it is a reasonably priced extra. Only criticism is that (also a first in our five weeks of travel) there was no soap supplied for the hand basin. We had no dropouts with the wifI - four star hotels take note! If you aren't looking for something extra special, it is hard to go past this hotel.
No problems recommending this hotel

Good budget priced hotel, comfortable beds and reasonable room for price. Staff speak decent English if your French is as bad as mine! Car parking on the street but managed to locate a space within reasonable distance. On the edge of the city centre - 5 mins walk down Rue Marechal Foch to bars, restaurants. Breakfast is fine at 7 Euros.
