We were heading to Bilbao and couldn't find a reasonable place to stay there. We found this hotel on line and it was great. The room was fairly modern - it was dark and quiet at night and had a mini-fridge. They have a lift too. They had a parking lot for a fee, but we were able to find a free spot on the street.
Our plan had been to drive to Bilbao, but Amanda, a very personable desk clerk, told us that the train was the best way to go. She gave us specific directions - it was a piece of cake - cheap and easy. She was a gem!
There are a number of cafes within a few blocks of the hotel if you want a drink or a light meal.
