Nice and clean hotel on the beach in Caorle. Newly refurbished. 2-3 minute walk to get to 'downtown'. Parking and sun beds on the beach included. Breakfast was pretty standard but absolutely ok. Helpful staff in the reception and the bar. The room (201) was nice and clean. Double bed and a bunk bed for the kids. Functional bathroom but some trouble with the shower doors.

It is unbelievable that Hotel Astoria in Caorle has 4 stars, and is selling at such high rates at Booking.com.
Nothing is seriously wrong there, so as a 2-star hotel at less than half the price, we would have given it a top rating. But with its rating and rates taken into consideration we find it poor.
The coastal town Caorle is quite nice, but not much charm is left as it is flooded by tourists at the end of June.
The hotel is located next to the crowded beach and not so far from the city center, but there is no garden, swimming pool or gym. Arriving by car we found no drop-off zone, and sheltered parking is only available 6-700m away at extra cost. The hotel is recently modernized, but at a quite simple standard and finish, and rooms are small.
As a family with two youths, we had booked a room for four with balcony. We were given room 405 with a double bed and a bunk bed, approximately 2-3 sqm available floorspace, a 2 sqm bathroom with a plastic fantastic mini shower cabinet and a noisy fan, and 0,3 sqm balcony with a glimpse sea view. When we later on complained over the tiny room to the reception guy, we were told there were no bigger rooms. The next day a more service minded reception lady offered us additional room 102 at no extra cost. Generally the same, slightly bigger and better, but a bit noisy next to the kitchen and street. Breakfast buffet was plenty from the beginning, but refill very limited.
On the plus side: The reception lady, cleaning, available bicycles and sunbeds on the beach.
Negative: Small rooms. Not at all the standard and the facilities you normally get at a 4-star hotel. Poor value for money...

Thank you so much for a really lovely holiday. Joanna was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. All the staff were happy and helpful and made our stay a very enjoyable one. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. We arrived late on our first night due to the flights from England, but we were only charged for the BB and rate. You would not get this with a package trip.
Only tip : check the flights from england and the arrival times and check the ATVO bus timetable available online, as a taxi is expensive. Its 2 hours by bus from Marco polo on line 4 ATVO.
We had a really lovely time the hotel was recommended to us by my brother in law who lives in Switzerland, there are many Austrians and Italians on holiday here and we could understand why, close to home and a lovely beach hotel with excellent value for money.

Great staff- Joanna especially was really helpful. We had booked a sea view room and when we arrived one was not available. Had to go into another room for one night, which was inconvenient. Then, the new room did not have a shower cubicle. However, it did have a great view and we were not charged for the sea view, as a result of the mix-up.
Rooms very clean and fresh towels daily.
Breakfast good and restaurant very clean and well presented.
Great access to the beach.
Reception area is a little dark and dated, but rooms themselves lovely on the whole.

Thank you to all the staff at the Hotel Astoria for being so kind and welcoming that our week with you felt relaxing and leisurely, as a holiday should be. Any help we needed the staff were happy to guide us in our adventures around the Caorle area and further afield to Venice and Padova. There is a lovely lounge at the hotel where you can unwind after a tough day chilling on the beach or racing around Venice and this was truly why we felt we were in a home away from home. Keep up the good work everyone! Ciao for now.
