Good hotel to stay near railway station

We stayed here 24th to 26th November 2016. The hotel is located 500m away from Dehradun railway station on Tyagi road (which is actually the hotel road) near to Prince Chowk (Very well connected place). Not much of a view point but one of the better places to stay if you need to be near the railway station. Has a very very good restaurant (Sagar Restro) both in terms of food quality and ambience. And great room service (They really want to take care of you!). Free parking also available with valet service.
But if you are with old people please beware because they have really steep stairs and no lift as of November 2016. Better confirm room(s) on the ground floor.
Pricing of room are very different than what is listed on most websites so I think it is better to book over phone.
Mr Rathor and his son are taking vary good care of the hotel and guests. I was quite amazed by their earnest hospitality.
BEST HOME STAY AT DEHRADUN.

I always stay in this hotel from last 7 years , I received such a warm and friendly reception at Hotel Atithi always ,
This property and rooms are beautiful. It is too near to Railway station and Market.
The proximity to the Doon City is very good and there are also some very good restaurants close by. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.
Hotel Staff is very Good and Services are prompt.
In all a very pleasant stay,
When you stay in this property you feel A HOME AWAY FROM HOME .I would recommend to anyone visiting Dehradun.
Average budget hotel

Only stayed here out of necessity transiting from Rishikesh to Chandigarh. Arrived late in the evening and this place was the only hotel that met our budget, albeit the upper limit.
Maybe because I'm a backpacker I'm being hyper critical, the room was fine and had a tv with cable. The wifi was a bit patchy. My friend ordered room service and didn't speak highly of the food.
Sometimes it would take the staff 20 mins to bring a jug if filtered water which I found strange, but it is India. Also on check out they randomly charged my friend 100 rupees for printing, which is fair enough as he did use their facilities, however her printed off 7 sheets which doesn't quite divide by 100, and it wasn't on the bill, so can't help but feel it was a cheeky bakshish on the sly.
Overall I'd say it was ok but I wouldn't recommend anyone to go Dehradun at all to be honest
excellent budget hotel

Just so good and economical.
City centre, free parking, free space for driver, Good clean room, hot cold water, supply of room heater at just Rs. 200/- Clean bathrooms and nice toiletries. Great morning tea in thermos. Free morning newspaper.
Restaurant in basement and gets too cold in winters and a little expensive. But many eateries around
Absolute value for money

I needed a room to spend just one night very close to railway station Dehradun. Found this hotel online. Infact, was a bit apprehensive. Stayed with them on 21 Dec. The hotel is just about 5 min walk. So if you are with light bag, can easily walk down. For 1000 bugs, what more can you expect? Neat and clean room, small and OK only for two. No space for third bed. Absolute basic facility but again at 1000 bugs a night what do you expect. Ate out due to official commitments, so cant comment on food. Will certainly like to stay there again. Staff was cordial and were more than willing to help. But they talk amongst themselves too loudly.
