Stayed at the Aurora for an overnight in Milan while traveling by train. It's a short walk from Milan Central and in an older building with a courtyard,businesses, apartments, a turn of the century elevator & the hotel. Wasn't quite sure what we were in for but with Donato's warm Italian welcome.... The room was typically sized for an older European hotel but very adequate, comfortable & clean. Would stay there again. Also, Donato recommended the Azzurra Grill that was very nearby. It's family owned & the food & service was excellent.

I had a single room for 4 nights; the room was smallish but comfortable and everything worked OK. For breakfast the reception desk gives out a voucher in the morning to get coffee and brioche from a café next door – I didn’t find out about the breakfast voucher until the third morning of my stay so you may have to ask for it.
It is a flat, easy to navigate walk to the hotel from Milano Centrale train station (which also has connections to Bergamo and Malpensa airports), and Piazza Duomo is within walking distance. If you don’t feel like walking there is a Metro station just down the street. The Metro line also goes to the station near The Last Supper museum.
There are many places to eat in the surrounding streets and a Carrefour Express is not far away in Via Panfilo Castaldi.

The room was perfectly clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable; it even had a small, quiet air-conditioning unit. The hotel is set back from the street, its entrance a bit hidden inside/behind the street-facing building, but this makes it very quiet, though it's on a busy street with restaurants and shops. It's near to a bus stop, where you can get a direct bus into the city center, and not far from a subway station. You can also walk to the city center from here in about 15 minutes. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we had questions. I would definitely stay there again, if I were passing through Milan.

I have stayed at the Aurora on 3 previous occasions and am never disappointed. I'ts an easy 1.5 km walk from Milano Centrale or by the Metro which is just a few steps away.
The rooms while small are clean and comfortable but best of all is the location. The Duomo is within walking distance and there are also a few lovely parks (great for an early morning run) nearby just up the Corso Venezia.
Needless to say the shopping is fabulous on Corso Buenos Aries, there are also many good restaurants in the area and a nice little cafe 2 doors away for breakfast.
The people who man the reception desk are terrific too, so pleasant and helpfull, its alway a delight to stay here.

Stayed one night here as a stop over at the end of our family holiday, catching the flight home the next day. The hotel was perfect for us. Everything we wanted nice, clean rooms with good facilities. It is so convenient for local shops, restaurants, bar and metro. Easy to walk into the centre. But the best bit was the friendly and helpful staff. We would definitively go back.
