Most awful two nights of my life!
Most congested, unhealthy way of living along with poor services.

Though this hotel is situated just outside the vegetable market and in a awefully crowded area, once we are inside the hotel it is extremely ok.
The rooms are well cleaned and well kept. The air conditioners are working and the geysers are working fine.
The food is good and the management is also on their toes to please the guests

Myself and my wife stayed overnight at this hotel. The hotel is situated in the middle of the unclean market area - from outside it is a deterrant to consider or enter this hotel - we did because our travels had booked already.
The room is good. Service is good. Food is average. The Offsmell is horrible even inside the wash rooms too.
You can definitely try other good hotels in Shillong if there is a choice.

This place is insanely located in front of a market which is not hygienic and the hotel is full of rats. The day we vacated we found a dead rat under our bed and the hotel staff reacted to that as if it was very common. Strict no in terms of hygiene and staff friendliness. Food was ok.

Happy to stay here at Hotel Barbareek. Situated in central city. Nice rooms. They are clean and tidy. Staff there are very cordial. Liked the Hotel very much. You can stay as you feel comfortable. Enjoy the stay at the busiest spot.
