Stopped for a week on half board. The room was fine, if a bit dated. The staff, all Italian, were very good and helpful.
Breakfast was the 'normal Italian' accept there was a bottle of prossecco & glasses every morning if you like that sort of thing. The evening meal was chosen during breakfast and was 3 coarses every night. Soup or pasta, main and sweet. All good.
Just to the left of the hotel was the jetty to get boats to the islands & Stressa and outside & left of the hotel is a lovely old church, the bus stops and a small supermarket.
A must see are the 3 islands especially Isola Bella. Quite superb, but give yourself plenty of time to have a good look around. Never seen anything like this. Quite magnificent.
All in all, we had a very nice stay here right on wonderful Lake Maggiorre.

Just had a week in this hotel. Lovely big room and shower. Bed very comfortable and room spotless. The food was adequate and filling, although the choices were limited. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful in the dining room and the front desk. Our driver had a lovely sense of humour and looked after us all through out the trip.

My hubby and I stayed at this hotel on a Shearings holiday for the last week of the summer season. We were lucky with the weather, but was disappointed that the outdoor pool was already closed up for the winter. However, the garden area was open and was a nice area to sit in after being out on trips. Our room was a mezzanine with the living room upstairs and the bedroom downstairs, which initially we found a bit strange , but soon adapted! The lake view and balcony were fab as were all the staff in the hotel. The restaurant staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Thank you Felucci and Raphael for you humour and efficient service for both breakfast and evening meal.
Now! To our coach driver!! What can one say? We have been on plenty of Shearings holidays to Europe but our driver to the lake maggiorre was the BEST. Thankyou PAV for your humour, friendliness and your confident driving, and knowledge of the area. You went that step further with your role. Also Thankyou for bringing your 'trolley dolly' aboard, it was very welcomed.
All in all this break was one of the most enjoyed by both myself and my hubby, and have already booked up for next year! We can't wait

Whilst my room was fine and had been renovated (though being on the first floor it was a bit noisy if one had the window open at night), my main bugbear was that the hotel would not allow one to pay for all drinks at the end of the trip. It was necessary to pay in cash for drinks at the bar and in the restaurant and at 4 euros for a cup of tea (hot water and a teabag and a small biscuit!) one rapidly ran out of cash and had to pay a visit to the hole in the wall for more money. Having said that the hotel is well situated for catching the lake ferries to all the lovely gardens on the islands and around the lake.

Enjoyed a week here with Travelsphere. Room small but perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean. Hotel décor very new, light and airy. Wonderful position on the lakeside, just a few minutes from shops, restaurants and harbour where you can pick up ferries to travel around the lake. Really lovely pool set in gardens, but beware of the mosquitoes! Very friendly staff and food OK.
