Needs an update

Stayed here on a recent weekend to beautiful Cortina. We had a deluxe double room. First off, the staff is friendly and helpful, and all our interactions with them were good. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a lot of choices, and we were asked promptly by service staff about coffee, tea, etc.

What keeps this from being a 4-rated hotel is that our room needed refurbishment. It wasn't bad enough that we needed to change rooms, just that there were clearly many aspects of the room which needed an update. The floor's finish clearly had been scratched in a number of places, perhaps by ski equipment or furniture being moved around. The outdoor balcony had areas where plaster had peeled away and algae or mold stains from dripping water. The bathroom also felt dated in the fixtures present there.

Our room was nice and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We liked the location just off the main walking area through town. But we were a bit disappointed that the room was not in better condition, befitting the four-star level of quality which they advertise in their own logo and signage.

Superb hotel in great location

Spent 4 nights here in mid August and we have nothing but praise for this fabulous hotel. It is located at the top end of the Corso Italia and is only a minute's walk from the numerous restaurants and shops and it is also very near the bus station for access to the mountain trails that surround the town.
As a party of three, we chose a suite room and we were delighted with the size and layout :- two bedrooms, two bathrooms provided with very nice toiletries, a huge living/dining area and a small kitchen. There was ample closet and storage space and best of all, a very large balcony with a splendid views of the town and mountains. From the moment we arrived to our reluctant departure time, we were given courteous and very friendly service by all members of the staff but a special mention goes to Sarah on the front desk, who gave us invaluable help and advice on more than one occasion. Many thanks!! The breakfast was excellent, with an extensive variety to choose from, and served in a pleasant and spacious room. On our last night we treated ourselves to dinner in the hotel restaurant and, again, found this to be an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Although staying here was a little on the expensive side, we thought it was well worth the expense and we would definitely love to return in the future. Highly recommended.

Perfect

Good location, with kind people at the reception. The rooms are not new but are comfortable, and the breakfast is well served. Indoor garage which fits high vehicles (we were using a Ducato 9 places which was very hard to park in all other hotels we were). The view is wonderful! Waking up and seeing the Dolomites thru your window is priceless!

Bellevue is Paradise!!!

The hotel is in a wonderful position. Our room was amazing! The service was outstanding, the staff was very friendly and helpful at every moment. We had dinner in the lovely restaurant where we had a traditional meal, for breakfast there was a great choice, and the view from the Terrace was amazing. We also tried the Spa and some treatments which were top notch! We will come back and will highly recommend the Bellevue.

Don't stay here!!!

This is a tale of note about Hotel Bellevue in Cortina D’Ampezzo Italy. Beautiful ski area town and great place to stop while on driving tour of northern Italy. Pulled into Bellevue after drive from Salzburg. Town was very busy with festival. Several streets shut down to traffic with a bazaar of booths and music and food and beer. Great day to arrive. Unfortunately, the street to the parking garage was not accessible by car. The front desk staff lead us down an alternate drive, not owned by hotel, to get to the rear of hotel to park in garage. The driveway was steep and tight. We ended up scraping against a curb and ruined tire and wheel. Fortunately, we had good insurance. The problem is that hotel mgmt did not take responsibility for leading us down this steep/narrow drive. We spent the whole next day dealing with ins and rental company. It ruined our stay in this beautiful town. The Mgr would only offer to comp a bottle of wine if we were having dinner in the restaurant. He said a little wine would help forget the incident.
I've been in the food and beverage mgmt, including hotel mgmt, for years. This is not how to handle an incident of this magnitude.
I can’t say this loud enough… DON’T STAY HERE!!

PS - rooms/furniture old and tired. Only area good was restaurant.
