Good location

Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff and a good location for walking to both the old and the new town. We were half board and found the food to be of a good standard. My only issue was that you had to buy water to drink at the evening meal even though both water and cava were available at breakfast. Would go back again.

This hotel is in the centre of Benidorm. It has easy access to both beaches, buses are just down the road, shops, shops everywhere.public transport very cheap. Hotel has high proportion of Spanish visitors, but we are in Spain and should enjoy the Spanish. Culture. Hotel staff and management, so pleasant and willing to help all the time. The food is a gastronomic delight. But you have to try everything. Everything is in English and Spanish. Every night their was entertainment. Mainly for the Spanish clients. But you have to respect and join in to the Spainsh culture. If you want to do English things then they are just down the road. We visited late in the year, so can only give an opinion on this time of year. It also coincided with the Benidorm fiesta brilliant. My wifes birthday was during our visit and the management gave us bubbly for two in our room. will return again. Yes yes yes

Off to a bad start with Manuel on the font desk who initially claimed that he couldn’t find our reservations, despite him personally responding to a request about rooms the week before in an e-mail. My partner had to e-mail him our confirmation (good job she had her smart phone) before he finally agreed to let us in! Not the first time we have had some difficulty with him, particularly when he is on the front desk on his own. Perhaps he needs a quiet word or a bit of training?
The two rooms were at the front and were lovely and clean as always. It is nosier on this side but we like watching the world go by so no problem there. The bathroom had a very powerful walk in shower which was great and no issues with hot water etc etc. The beds are two singles pushed together but they are comfy enough. The cleaning ladies are amazing and the rooms are cleaned every day to a very high standard.
I don’t know why people complain about the food in the Plaza. The website makes it very clear that they offer a Mediterranean menu, which they do. This means plenty of fish, salads, fruit and Spanish stews and for us the choice is excellent. Lots fresh fish or meat cooked on the griddle every meal time. Breakfast is everything you could want from bacon, sausage and eggs to cereal and toast. Coffee and tea is available as well as fruit juice and even sparkling wine if you want an early start! The perfect start to the day. The staff in the restaurant are fantastic and a credit to the hotel. A warm “hello” and very attentive no matter how busy the dining room is.
The bar staff are a terrific bunch. Funny and friendly and you don’t have to wait too long to be served, inside or sat on a table outside by the pool. Again, this area is kept spotlessly clean and tidy and is a very nice place to sit and read or enjoy a swim. The bar gets very busy in the evening when the entertainment is up and running. The usual holiday fare of a couple of blokes on guitar, one playing an organ and a singer. Not really our taste but amusing to watch for a while.
All in all this was another great stay at the Plaza. The hotel is in a great location between the old and the new and is a short walk to the beach. It may look a little tired from the outside but it is spotlessly clean and very well looked after. The staff, apart from one gentleman, are always great and very welcoming and I even got a bottle of bubbly in our room on my birthday - thank you. We are already talking about booking another stay next year, our eighth visit to the Plaza and I see no reason to look elsewhere.
A big thank you to everyone for making our week in the sun such a pleasure yet again. See you in June 2018.

At arrival the hotel is very smart and clean. Checking in quick and easy with good directions to our rooms. There was 5 adults traveling in our party and we had booked 2 rooms. Both rooms whet the same size and they had just put an extra bed in one. This made the room very compact put still very useable. The room itself was very clean with a great view of the sea and sun in the morning. (Floor 10 facing pool) nice balcony. Bathroom was very nice always had hot water and shower was excellent. T.v. Had some English channels if you wanted to watch it. Restaurant was mainly catered for Spanish people and there was a lot there, not a bad thing ,if it’s good enough for them it must be good. It was... the food was varied and good quality with plenty of choice at all meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. The evening entertainment was again Spanish orientated but a. Nice place to sit and have a drink. Personally I thought it was very hot in there in the evening and went outside to cool off. The drinks where a bit expensive at the bar and the only one draft beer, but the G&T was large and very nice.i would definitely recommend this hote mostly for location, 100 yards to the old town and 200 yards to the breach.
