When we arrived nobody was there (12:30 am). They left our key at the "reception" with our names on it. We entered the room and we were shocked! Our room was in de cellar, had no windows and the smell was awful. We booked the room called "souterrain", so we knew it was in the cellar, but nowhere was written, that there was no window. Just an old air conditioner. We woke up several times at night because of the bad air. The towels smelled awfully and it was impossible to dry ours because of the high humidity.
Unfortunately there is no door to the bathroom - so no privacy.
Especially at night you hear the other tourists through the walls.
But at least there were some candies in the entrance.

We have spent one night at the hotel as we have came to attend to a concert at Halle Tony Garnier. Located in a strategic and nice area of Lyon. Room was small but clean. Bathroom ok. I would suggest it for a short stay like ours.

Neat hotel room with doublebed, bathroom, french balcony and a small fridge. There is enough room for having something to drink and small snack in the fridge. Nice railway station is only 300m away. Stayed there for 4 nights; good cleaning. Owner told about the places to visit.

Hotel is clean and well presented. Rooms are cleaned every day and also well presented. Rooms provide all you need. Air con works like a dream. JP the owner couldn't be anymore helpful, offering his guidance and assistance for any of our needs. From the hotel to the promenade allows you to see the centre of nice and what it has to offer. 30 second walk to the train station and tourism office which is very convenient. Also trams are close by that takes you straight to the promenade so if you're not feeling up for the walk it will only cost you a euro fifty. Overall great stay with this hotel and JP.

I stayed 2 nights at the hotel and when we arrived in the room we were disappointed in comparison to the pictures we saw. The hotel is really narrow and the room too. The reception is nice, but the rooms are a bit old. The bathroom is ok, but it smelled badly every time we flushed and we did a shower. Air conditioning works well, the room is silent and clean. At the end of the day for 2 nights could be still ok. The owner was apparently nice, but provided wrong touristic indications: we asked if the museum Chagall was open and he said that on Sunday everything is closed, but when we went to the city center everything was opened and we also visited the Museum! If you work in an hotel you should know basic information or at least check on Internet! (Which is what we did). In general the area around the station is not great, better to be close to the beach and to the shopping area.
