Cancelled - but no refund
Charlotte2015DKon 03/11/2017 12:51Booked 2 rooms for July 2017 in December 2016. Resort demanded full payment due to alleged "long term reservation and high season". They took our money immediately and we got a confirmation of our booking.
In June 2017 I receive a cancellation of our booking due to bankruptcy, but was told I should get my money back. So far - despite numerous emails back and forth over the last 4-5 months - I still only get emails assuring I get payment .... next week... from the CEO, but no other information at all. Disgraceful in each and every way.
I can see that so many others are in the same situation as I am. We have been cheated for sure.
Cancelled and STILL no refund!

A few weeks before the stay I received an email from Fontebussi telling me that my reservation had been cancelled (?!) with no explanation. I then had the stress of finding somewhere else to stay with only a few weeks' notice, which thankfully I did. I have had communication from the CEO of the Fontebussi and am still chasing a refund of nearly 200 euros! I am constantly fobbed off with promises of 'we'll do it as soon as we have the funds'. Absolute joke and completely disgraceful.
Tuscan Fitness
sara gon 19/07/2017 20:32I can't speak highly enough of all the staff do Tuscan Fitness, we had an amazing 4 days of yoga, circuit training, walking, wine tasting, healthy eating and fun with a great group of people. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning!
Cancelled and still no refund!

The booking was made 6 months in advance and payment was taken immediately in October 2016. 2 weeks before the stay received an email from Fontebussi telling me our reservation had been cancelled (?!) with no explanation. Have had the stress of finding somewhere else to stay with only 2 weeks' notice, and still have heard nothing from them about the refund. After the automated cancellation email, I have had no communication from Fontebussi and am still chasing a refund of 400 euros! Disgraceful customer service.
Not really open yet
Gwendalynn62on 23/04/2017 15:39It was the first week of April. We arrived after a along drive. I had intentionally reservered a villa setting that advertised an open restaurant. Upon check in we were not offered any refreshment and we were told the restaurant would not be open for dinner during our stay. OK, so we did get a list of local restaurants and then we were told the nearest one is also closed. So we asked if we could purchase a bottle of wine. There were TWO bottles to choose from. After selecting one bottle we were told they would be happy to bring us wine glasses. An hour later we were brought wine glasses. (Needless to say by this point we were drinking wine out of plastic bathroom cups.) As we sat and made the best of our wine and contemplated getting back into the car to tackle very narrow windy roads for dinner we noticed the chef was in the garden cutting herbs. So there was a chef who was preparing food. Hmmm. I found another guest reading in a common room and struck up a conversation. Basically I was hoping to find out where she was planning on having dinner. Imagine my surprise when she said she was having dinner there in an hour. After more conversation I learned that she was there as part of the Tuscan Fitness group that had full board arrangements for their guests enjoying the Yoga Retreat. Well Fortunately Dave from Tuscan Fitness was walking by and he was so sorry that they could not get us into the restaurant but happily phoned to his favorite restaurant and made reservations for us. He then invited us to join in with any activities his group had going on during the week and gave me schedule. Truly Tuscan Fitness made this stay. I would never choose to stay at Fontebussi due to lack of customer service. The breakfast was very awkward. We were asked to check off what we wanted for breakfast the night before. Then in the morning we went to have breakfast and each day different things happened. We were brought what we ordered one day, we were brought another guests order another day, we also watched other guest served items that were not on the check list we were given. It was strange.
If the internet is important know that it was inconsistent. It worked the best in common areas.
Setting is very serene. I would suggest you stay as part of one of the groups that uses this location for events such as Tuscan Fitness or the Cooking School.
