Stayed at Hotel Brizi for three nights at end of family holiday in Italy. Hotel is new and spacious and our room was comfortable and clean. The pool complex with its own snack bar was first class and very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wi Fi limited to lobby and you had to get a new code every day which could be made easier. Good base for trip to Rome as motorway outside front door and less than an hour by train. We ate in attached Restaurant and food was good. Breakfast was good. We are glad we found Hotel Brizi and enjoyed our stay.

I had the unfortunate experience of staying here on company business. I arrived late at night and went straight to bed. The duvet had a blood stain on it but the rest of the room looked clean. Removing the duvet, I went straight to sleep. The next morning I was told that my meals were included and lunch would not be in the hotel due to a wedding, but out by the road in the restaurant there. I was served a plate of pasta and my second course could only be described as a round, flat, tasteless fish finger. I tried one mouthful and left it. The pool is lovely and I spent my afternoon there. In the evening I was told that again, due to a wedding, my evening meal was in the conservatory. The chef would prepare my meal specially. I was served 4 pieces of stone cold stale pizza and an a cold vegetable pie, with a side of stale bread. I ate a few mouthfuls and left. When I was leaving they said they would make me fresh pasta. I was already off my food by then. The next day I went down to breakfast, the milk, fresh juice and yoghurt was all sitting out warm on the table and I'm sure I would have got ill if I'd touched it. I opted for a croissant and water. There was no coffee machine and no waiter to ask. I went to ask at reception if I could get a taxi to Civi to head for Rome. There were no taxis so he said he would book me a private car. The car was nowhere to be seen after 45 minutes, I asked when it would be there. I was told it may come in another half hour. By this time it was getting to late for the plans I had so I couldn't go. I decided I'd chill out by the pool. I was there around 10 minutes until I was told to move as there was.....a wedding! I couldn't sit by the pool. I asked what I was expected to do if I couldn't sit by the pool, couldn't get a taxi, bus or private car to Civi... Shortly after I moved hotels. Don't book here unless you want to be a prisoner in your room or unless you are getting married!!

The hotel is on the north end of civitavecchia at the highway. Very impressed upon checking in with English speaking staff, the room was really great, clean, new a lot of tv channels to choose from ( not too many in English though) shower had great hot water and endless supply in shower and hand basin of Lux soap. Went to the pool area out the back which is very spacious big pool one just a big wading pool
The other pool was proper size 160 cm deep. We ate in the restaurant which had a wedding on the side And was just a bit unorganized. If you have a car stay here and make the quick commute to civitavecchia.
