Our stay at Carmencita was just great. Everything was perfect with the room. Fabrizio was a great host, very knowledgeable about the local area and Capri as a whole. We were made to feel so welcome, it was almost like staying with friends :)

This place was perfect in every aspect:the hotel's architecture makes you feel like part of this beautiful island, with a relaxing pool where to have tasty and refreshing Aperol Spritz's and getting excellent service from the staff. It is located in a perfect spot near the center of Anacapri, a great area to merge into the local's culture and go for a nice afternoon walk. The hotel was very clean, and the staff went above and beyond to meet all our needs, giving us plenty of information on which places to visit in Anacapri as well as Capri... but Anacapri took our breath away! On top of this, if we needed help getting to any of these destinations, they would make all the arrangements for us, making our overall stay succeed our expectations, which were already pretty high! We will definitely come back, a big thanks to Fabrizio and his staff for making our vacation one for the books!

We stayed at the Carmencita for 2 nights whilst visiting Capri, opting for Anacapri because of availability, slightly cheaper (sensible !) prices, and location (away from the crowds in Capri centre).
Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. We think it is family run, which showed in the great welcome we had from Fabrizio on reception, who gave advice on places to visit on the island, and also arranged for a lift back to Capri ferry port when we checked out, making it much cheaper than the local taxis and meant less time pressure.
Our first night was in one of the smaller and basic rooms, which had no windows hence no view. This was ok because they said we would be transferred to a different room for the second day, which they did, which was much nicer with a pool facing view and balcony.
On the second afternoon we wanted to use the pool, but it was closed for seasonal cleaning before it got busy, but Fabrizio kindly arranged for us to use the pool in a friends hotel over the road, fantastic !
The breakfast buffet was a little bit on the limited side (which we came to realise is probably typical of Italian hotels), but was more than adequate for our needs, and the freshly made Spanish omelette style bites were lovely, as was the coffee.
The location is great, just a 5 mins walk over the road and you are in Anacapri centre (it is not big so you can get anywhere in about 10 mins walk) and 5 mins from the bus and taxi station for when you want to venture further.
Be aware this is not a large hotel, it has a 3 star rating, so don't expect 5 star luxury. This is reflected in the much more sensible price of a stay here as compared to some of the hotels in the main town of Capri. It gave us more an impression of a good sized guest house, which we like because sometimes larger hotels are less personal.
In summary a nice no-thrills, modest, friendly stay in a good location. We would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again if we were re-visiting Capri.

I booked in advance more than 20 rooms but just 3 weeks before the event I was sent an e-mail saying that due to a computer error there was no booking at all.
This was not professional at all and caused a lot of stress and additional work.
The hotel suggested other hotel but they were all almost fully booked so we had to book 3 different hotels and arrange transfers and payments with 3 hotels.
It was a really bad way of dealing with customers.

The hotel staff went above and beyond, and we are very appreciative. Shortly after arriving to Capri, my daughter (who was on holiday with college friends) was injured. The hotel staff demonstrated such kindness to them during their stay and treated them like family by providing transportation and food and making sure they were ok. So even though away from family, they truly felt cared for during their stay. We look forward to staying at your hotel during our next visit..
