Beware when booking with expedia, booking.com or else
beaulmaon 14/08/2017 17:48Was very disappoint. My daughter and my son book two nights at this hotel for our anniversary. When we got there he said we were two early ( 2 oclock) but he was nice, took our license plate number etc, Then he said ". oups, you book with expedia so you re going in the old section". Later when we came back another gentlemen could nt found our name but when he did he said " oh no, you book thru expedia so no free breakfast for you, you will have to pay"??????? Never heard that one before and we ve been booking online for ages. The room was awful, small, floor done, pipe all over the ceiling. Never again. BUT. Restaurant inter was great. Not like the picture at all.

jeangW3900GLon 09/05/2017 04:24This is a very old hotel. The floors are creeky, no electrical outlets near the work desk or beds. Worn out floor. Water pipes everywhere. Short beds ( I'm only 5'10"!). My toes come out even if my head is against the bed post. Don't trust the images with the 'redecorated rooms', you must pay extra for them. The corridors are dark even during the day. No wonder with this 50's lighting. In any other larger city, this would be no more than 2 stars.
Pre-Christmas trip
Negociateuron 13/02/2017 21:11We were there to visit my wife's Aunt a few weeks before Christmas and we were welcomed by a very friendly employee. They were collecting food and toys for charity and were offering a $20 discount if you showed up with something they could give to families in need. What a great way to get donations!
We will certainly visit again!

Merlin Hon 21/10/2016 21:57This is a classy hotel in a great part of town. The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. I read several reviews prior to my stay and had some reservations and expectations of noisy uncomfortable rooms. I found those to be completely not true. My room was on the 4th floor overlooking the river. I found it very comfortable and very quite. I will stay here again.
Attention to detail - great service
OmegaDudeon 19/10/2016 02:13I stayed at Hotel Chicoutimi for a couple of nights while on business. The hotel staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very friendly and super helpful. My room was spotlessly clean. Impeccable! The breakfast, which was included in the price of my room, was very nicely prepared and of generous proportions. The gourmet jam served with two large slices of quality bread was a nice accompaniment to my ham and cheese omelet. The hotel is very conveniently located to all downtown amenities. In addition, a short distance away is a lovely walk along the boardwalk with lovely views of the river. I highly recommend this charming hotel in northern Quebec.
