    What People are saying

Spacious rooms at affordable rates and great service

    Komal C on 21/07/2017 16:50

We booked one room for our stay in Delhi for 4 people. The room was spacious enough to easily occupy 4 people. Toilets was clean. The blankets were a little soiled was the only flaw otherwise we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Overall I would recommend the hotel for pleasant stay.

near by station for average stay

Its hard to find entrance for 1st time visitors in crowded area of pahar Ganj. I cant review in depth because my visit for hotel is not more than 4 hours.suitable for people on low budget. 'good for solo travelllers'

    Worst Hotel Experience Ever!!!!

    flyingsolo79 on 27/03/2017 13:06

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! I travel extensively and I have had some bad ones but this beats all! My business associates in Delhi booked my room on Bookings.com. The reservation was for 4 AM as my flight arrived about an hour earlier. I arrived at the hotel completely travel weary following a 12 hour train trip and 22 hours of flying to get there. First, the night clerk would not answer the phone or open the door. When the phone was finally answered I asked for someone to come out and take my luggage in as is customary (there was a lot of luggage and there was no way I could safely handle it on my own. Night clerk hung up the phone and failed to send anyone to retrieve the luggage. I finally convinced the MERU driver to go in and find out what was going on. Eventually the hotel door was opened and the MERU driver and I took the luggage in. At this time I went to the check in counter and stated that I had a reservation for 4 AM. The night clerk looked me right in the eye, while holding his printed copy of my reservation in his hand, and shouted "You do NOT have a reservation here!". OMG! I was looking right at his copy - Note - (The first night was already paid for on my business associates credit card). He then tried to charge me more than the bookings.com rate and in the same breath turned around and rudely pointed at a sign behind him and said "You also have to be gone at noon!". Please remember I arrived at 4 AM and now it was almost 5 AM. My business associates were driving in from another city and would not arrive in Delhi until 9 AM and I was at a loss as to what to do. I had not exchanged any cash yet and I was not in a position to pay double for a room for a few hours. Why did he want cash up front for a room that had already been paid for on a credit card??? (It is customary to pay when you check out) I asked the night clerk if he could please give me the room that was reserved and paid for and that we would sort his denial of my reservation when my business associates arrived. He flatly refused and told me to leave!!!! I was SHOCKED!!! What am I supposed to do with all my luggage at 5 AM in Delhi with no place to go??? And why am I being denied the room that was reserved for me??? I finally reached my business associates who made the reservation and they called the night clerk. At this time the night clerk lied to them and told them that I "REFUSED" the room. He hung up and minutes later sent one of his night helpers over to tell me that I could have a room if I paid the exorbitant rate they offered, provided I was out by 7 AM the next morning. I said that was ridiculous and asked why they would make such an offer? He stated that he was not about to let me stay one minute past 24 hours (Very HOSTILE man). He then told me to get out again! I told him I was already on the phone with my business associates, as they had called me back and advised that I stay right where I was in the hotel lobby (if you can call that shabby room a lobby) until they arrived. I told the night clerk there was no way he was throwing me out onto the street and that it was bad enough that he had denied my reservation. My business associates were now worried about my safety. I sat in that lobby for 5 hours with no access to a bathroom. By the time my business associates arrived I was completely exhausted and mosquito bitten (mosquito bites are no joke in this region). The night clerk argued with my business associates and vehemently refused to give them a visiting card or his name (which further raised our suspicions about the guy). Admittedly, I also had some choice words for him as we left. We will certainly not return and would advise other travelers to avoid this place.

    Sticky rough hotel

    4kiwistripin on 29/12/2016 04:48

Staff were dishonest and tried to have us pay our bill several times. Get a receipt after you have paid, online or if at the front desk insist on one after any payment. Tile floors sticky through the whole hotel because they cook in the lobby with no extraction. Walls and headboards need a good clean. They didn't take visa cards for payments which was hopeless post demonitisation when rupees were so hard to get. Get your act together join the modern world and get a card payment system. One month after demonitisation travel cash is still too hard to get.

    Rats, Disastrous & misleading images

    A.R R on 30/11/2016 06:44

To start with the images on across all websites were misleading as the entrance is via a small corridor between shops, the hotel is a shopping center reconstructed with the reception below ground level. The entire setup at the entrance was bad,

Having checked into one of the rooms, the mattress were sloppy with no complimentary water, tea or coffee with very dirty sheets, Pillows and floors.

However deciding to stay in the room just for the night as it was too late to check into another hotel, the worse thing happened RATS and that was it.

Payments is accepted only with local Indian cards to make things worse i had to go 3/4 km in another hotel named Le grand Guest House as its a sister hotel

This place needs to inspected by the tourism board and permanently shut down.
