Older hotel, great food, nice staff but LOUD!
SuAnthon 08/08/2016 20:14If you want to spend some nights in a hotel that offers partying and animation at the pool every evening until at least midnight, this is your hotel :) If you want to relax, deifnitely book a room that does NOT have an ocean view! You will not have WiFi in your room, but at least it's quiet enough to sleep. The pool is nice but if you don't want to listen to loud music all day long, better go to the hotel beach (although there is quite a bit of seaweed).
Although the hotel is pretty old, the friendliness of the staff and the incredibly good food (lunch & dinner, breakfast is well Italian, so not much and mainly sweet things) makes up for some of the things mentioned above.

Aleksandra Lon 17/08/2015 12:56Honestly I would say that this hotel is nothing but average...Pros are the pool,clean rooms and new towels every day,private beach (with free beach facilities),animators,lifeguides(on pool and on the beach).Cons are not much connected to the hotel itself but with the area where its located as well as food.Casteldaccia is very poor and dirty place wich I didn't like at all. On the bright side there is a train every 15-20min to Palermo.The food I didn't enjoy at all,for 10 days I stayed in this hotel I believe we had met twice,desert is always a pice of watermelon and never fish which is kinda expected when you are on the seaside.
Averall good hotel for the price...

Maja11111on 16/08/2015 19:08Staff is young, polite and great!! they were cleaning every day... Hotel is near the train station so you are on 15 min from Palermo. For money we give what we get was great! Only problem is grass in the sea, but near the hotel is public beach and it's great.
Pretty disappointed...
Bojana Eon 02/08/2015 18:18This is hotel for people with disabilities. I don't have problem with them, of course, but you cant mix them with regular tourists, because of different needs and expectations.
There are karaoke parties all day and regular parties at night, because hotel rents space for celebration of birthdays.
2-3 times there was no water in bathroom (at all) and sometimes there is only cold water.
Kitchen staff watches your every move at the table and very often give you food themselves (example - you can only have 3 small pieces of prosciutto, not more, and that if you are lucky enough to come first. If not - well, be faster next time).
Beach in front of hotel is terrible, with broken sunbeds and it is not possible to swim because all of the seaweed.
Only good thing - people at reception was very nice, and view from our room was beautiful.
Poor hotel service, avoid Casteldaccia
Bojana_Karicon 26/07/2015 11:19The hotel itself is not so bad as the Casteldaccia place it is situated in, where there is not much to do, along with poor animation option hotel has to offer. Situated in room 415, we enjoyed a shared balcony with next room and a very nice view. Room was kept clean every day, with regulary changed towels. At the very end of our staying there has been an issue with air conditioning, not being able to cool down the room.
The biggest critic goes to breakfast and dinner time. Being a part of a large group of guests in this hotel, during breakfast time, there has always been something missing on the self-service table. The biggest waiting line was for cheese and ham, so hotel staff was standing in front of this plate, only giving you two pieces of each. When asking for more of anything, waiters would get pretty mad. This resulted in poor and slow service.
The same goes for dinner, although we enjoyed this only twice during our staying. First time we waited for 40 minutes for the dinner to be served, since hotel staff didn't want to serve only few tables, but resulted in whole room full of people waiting. Second time there was no waiting for serving, but the quality of food is poor as well.
Once there was no water in the hotel, the other day there hasn't been hot water.
I would not recommend this hotel nor Casteldaccia place for visit.
