Spectacular view and beautiful gardens. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Great food and fun swimming pool. Close to town and within walking distance of farmer's market and several local restaurants as well as the centre of Atenas. Highly recommended!

We went to hotel Colinas del Sol to recover from a long flight and significant time change. We were there for 2 days before starting our tour of Costa Rica and it completely fulfilled our expectations. We were able to relax in our room or by the pool. We could eat in the hotel or walk into Atenas very easily. By the end of our stay we were adjusted and ready to travel around the country.

Run by a super friendly lovely ex-pat from Germany, a reasonably priced beautiful resort in Atenas. Breakfast is free and the restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. We stayed for a week and ate almost all our meals there. She offers a good balance of local and more "American" fare. The resort also does a really good job of coordinating events for your group, including travel to and from. Met a large group of Canadians who stay here every year. May just join them, Definitely staying here again.

It was a beautiful place. The people were super friendly and accomadating checked in late in the evening. Super helpful. Spoke some english which helped us alot. Beautiful cabins wonderful flora. Very nice pool. We even enjoyed the complimentary typical tico breakfast.. and the price was the best of all well under $100 per night.

We've been coming to Costa Rica for the last four years, but it was our first time in Atenas. We're glad we stayed at the hotel as the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and the hotels restaurant has exceptional food. We'll be visiting again !
