Didn't stay at the hotel but ate in cafe de sol. Really comprehensive menu , Mexican, Lebanese, no curries. and extremely good food. Very helpful staff. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Do try the cakes but don't count the calories

In such a competitive market of hotel, this hotel dont need any business. Manager Mr. Rakesh Sharma dont know how to talk to guest. I want to book this hotel where reception person saying rooms are available and they will try to open rooms on travel portal but this Manager Mr Sharma ji straightway rejected by saying they dont have any rooms available and they cant do anything and was being rude as if this is the only hotel in Shimla
What sort of hospitality is this? Do we need this kind of behavior while being on holiday! Seriously after staying with you so many years, was not expecting this kind of rudeness.
Wont recommend your hotel to any of my known.

Being on exact mall road and with personal lift, combermere gives an edge to your stay in Shimla....the freedom to move into mall road anytime day or night, is actually aweful!
But this comes at a decently high price...with such price you can into star rated branded hotels like radisson/marina etc...rooms are very normal...food is average...staff hospitality very average....biggest issue...No Hotel Parking & no tie up with public parking! (Parking is a big issue in Shimla)

Me and my husband spent a night here before starting on our trip to Spiti and it was very relaxing and comfortable. Just what we were looking for. The service is nice, people are friendly. They even gave us boxed breakfast the next day because we had to leave really early.
The rooms were neat and clean and very comfortable.
The food could have been better though. We tried both the Sol lounge and the restaurant and it was only decent.
The location is great! We spent our entire evening walking on the mall road. I would book it again just for the location!

Good Hotel with Lift near to Ridge on Mall road having its own restaurant & live band location is very nice view from it is very Good, Lift can get you to the lower bazar other end opens in Hotel on mall road.
