I only wish I tried harder now to move hotels.
The hotel when you first arrive doesn't look too bad (but I believe its more a wedding venue). It's about 2km from the JR station or about 700 Yen taxis.
The rooms are basic (but clean) and even for Japanese standards the beds a hard! I was on the 4th floor next to the lifts and could hear them though the night. Internet was only available on the ground floor and my room didn't have a cat5 connection.
The room really looked dated and needed a make over
