Great location but lacking

The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location.
The room was sparse. There was no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage several stories up to your room. Bring a hair dryer. And the shower took at least five minutes to warm enough to use.
Excellent location for a city center break.

This hotel is located right in the centre of the city within easy walking distance of the famous tourist destinations and plentiful restaurants. The room was clean and adequate with free Wi-fi but the bathroom was in need of some refurbishment. Reception staff are very friendly, helpful and speak good English. No private parking, but they do offer a 20% discount to parking within a short distance.
Really nice hotel in the old center of Avignon

A very good price/quality performance. The location is perfect: in the middle of the old center and 2 minutes walk to the palace. Large rooms, recently renovated I guess. Breakfast really fine for French hotels.
Excellent location. Budget choice !

We, three girls stayed in a Triple room on 27/28/29 July. There were still lots of Festival activity.
Reception desk : We arrived after 20:00. To our surprise, the front desk insisted that we only booked and paid one night, despite that we have the print out from BOOKING.COM to show that we did book 3 nights, moreover, the name on the receipt which he tried to give us WAS a totally stranger called Daniel. The man can barely speak English and he refused to check further...until that the girl waiting behind us came forward to say that her partner is that Daniel who booked 1 night. It was such a relief for us. The man finally believed that he made a mistake and apologized.....
Room:The hotel was at a extremely busy street but the sound-proof is excellent. The room size is good and air-conditioning is cool -- we need it because the weather is hot ! About the pillow, yes, it indeed needs some quality improvement.
Bathroom: size is good. But there were only two small bottle of shampoo and a very-tiny soap. We are lucky that we brought our own bottle. There's no hair dryer so we need to borrow one from front desk. They said they only have one hair dryer so we need to return it every morning ( we stayed there 3 nights)
We didn't try the breakfast.
Great Location spoilt by lack of care

Location is fabulous on the main shopping street of Avignon and easy walking distance of various places of interest.
The entrance is messy it needs someone to take responsibility for it and clean it up a couple of times a day.
The receptionists was great spoke good English and gave us bits of information that were useful. He helped get our cases up the stairs which was good as there is not a lift. Also booked us a taxi that arrived promptly.
The sleeping room was fine with TV and air conditioning. Bed clothes and towels are clean. However, there was a great deal of dust under the bed. The bathroom was a let down. No plug for the sink, no fitting for the shower head so to shower you wet yourself, put the shower head in the bath then soaped up and rinsed off. There was mould on the walls bits of paint chipped off. The toilet bowl was badly stained and needed a good bleaching.
Breakfast was disappointing as nothing seemed fresh. The coffee machine constantly dripped and had a bowl to catch them. A fellow guest moved the bowl and did not replace it the man in charge of breakfast for some reason scowled at my wife as though it was her. Across the road there is a bakery that sells excellent fresh food if you feel the need to buy extra.
What the hotel needs is for the manager to do several things first inspect every room and note problems. Then employ a handy man to go through the hotel and rectify all the minor things wrong. He also needs to give his cleaners a pep talk about their cleaning responsibility.
WiFi was good in the room we stayed in.
With its location this could be a fabulous hotel with a bit of effort and getting people to take pride in their work.
