Hotel Darshan was our last stop on a month long tour of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and I think it was our best choice of accomodation for the entire trip. The hotel, a true feat of design and style, sprawls multiple levels on the steep mountainside, with generously large outdoor balconies offering a spectacular view of the lake below. Our rooms were very new, meticulously maintained, with exquisitely comfortable bedding, perfect for those cool mountain nights. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful, and I also enjoyed some quality meals at the vegetarian friendly restaurant. The service was of the highest order, and I felt the staff went above and beyond in seeing to our needs. The manager even went so far as to use his own personal card to book our bus ticket, since we were having issues with our foreign bank cards, and this assistance was instrumental in ensuring that we made our flight back to Cochin on time - a total life saver. The front desk staff were especially attentive, patient, and generally wonderful... thank you guys, you know who you are :)

The Hotel was located at a beautiful location overlooking the Ooty Lake. Stay was Good and Room was really tidy. Also the complimentary Breakfast was Tasty. Overall the Experience was Good. Recommended for Family Stay.

This has vegetarian restaurant and that serves very good good. Staff is good room service is good. They had live breakfast counter at rooftop and that is amazing.

One of the best hotel, I have stayed in recent times. Room was very well maintained. Liked the location of the hotel,, just near the lake. Food was good! Loved the hospitality of the staff. Cost effective. Worth each penny spent. Maintain the same standards.

We had a very good stay at Darshan Hotel for two days. It is very near to the Boat House of Ooty Lake (you can see the lake from your terrace if you book lake-facing rooms). The rooms with wooden floor consist of one sitting and one bedroom, partitioned with a glass door (we booked a semi suit). Toilet is neat and clean, having hot and cold water (won't get hot water in early morning- before 7 AM, most probably you have to tell in advance). Food quality is ok. Only thing you need to note is they only have a veg restaurant. Hence if you prefer non-veg, this place is may not be suitable for you.
