What a shame
Susan Son 21/11/2017 08:16We stayed here overnight with friends. It has a great location, parking was fine but cost 10 euros.
The hotel is dreadfully dated, but clean. Our room was large enough but the shower was mouldy and slow running. The toiletries were horrible and the view out of our window was shocking. I would have put the cleaning things in that room.
The room was clean. The bed was awful and every time you moved you could hear and feel the springs. Having hardly slept we all left early and wont be going back.
Lovely Character Hotel
Nige Jefferieson 13/11/2017 03:14Although tucked away in a side-street of central Arras in it's own courtyard, this is well worth searching for. Quirky but classic bedrooms, and comfortable bar/reception. The staff were never less than friendly.
Western front base for our tour
Paul Bon 28/10/2017 23:02Great base for our tour of the western front. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is adequate. Arras is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. The hotel is in a good location close to the main squares. The service was excellent and friendly. Good value for the price.

sheridan son 21/10/2017 12:18What a disappointment this hotel is. A fantastic building in the centre of wonderful Arras, with reasonable sized rooms and good public spaces. In the hands of the right staff and owners it could be a gem. Unfortunately it is not.
When we arrived late and tired after a long journey from Frankfurt we enquired about the possibility of parking our vehicle and were told that all the spaces had been fully booked. This seemed strange as it was after 9pm and the car park was only half full. We then asked if the restaurant was still serving and were told that we would have had to book a meal in advance ( something that we had not been told when we booked). On returning from eating elsewhere we found the car park was still half full as it was the next morning at 6.30am. Our stayed was also not improved by the fact that the wifi was not working in the room. On the plus side the bed was fine and the shower excellent, and there is a kettle and tea and coffee in the room.
Altogether this wonderful old hotel needs some TLC and a management that care about their visitors. Arras is a beautiful city and it deserves some outstanding hotels to go in it. This could be one, if only ...
Wouldn't recommend this one
Sheridan Kon 14/10/2017 05:33Dirty carpet, outdated, not enough staff and no air conditioning - it wasn't a good start. We had to sleep with the window open because of the heat and all we could hear all night was an industrial fan of some sort.
We wanted a drink at the bar but there didn't seem to be anyone actually working at the bar. We had to ask the reception staff if we could be served and they came and poured us a drink??
I got sick of dodging the cleaners trolley in the hallway near our room.
There were no toiletries included in the room and the curtains wouldn't close.
the food in the restaurant was OK however the staff didn't seem to have much experience. There was parking in the hotel courtyard however we had to pay 10 euro a night!!!!!
All in all a disappointing experience and will not be staying there again.
