I stayed in thus hotel for 1 night as the next door Nordzee hotel was fully booked. De Wielingen hotel has only 1 room available - not sure it was true - it was 1 suite for 350 euros. We accepted as we wanted to stay in Cadzand and had so much rnjoyed the previous night st the Nordzee. The others hotels were booked. The suite did not worth the 350 euros, it was more an appart hotel kind of suite with a view in marina cobstructions. The suite had a kitchen corner and you had to pay 45 euros more to use it. No simple bottle of water offered or chocolate. The breakfast was just average and the coffee had no taste. The staff was rude. I do not recommend this hotel !!!!

Hotel with a very good location , right at the beach perfect for a sea walking - Personnel is friendly
The rooms are standard - basic but OK ! Tea Facilties- The place is not cheap -137€/one night-
+15€ for a small dog -Swimming pool is not state of art -
Breakfast limited but OK - Restuarant quite good service -

One of the worst of hotels I've ever been in. An utter deception for a planned relaxed stay. I don't know how it can have 4 stars, really! A real robbery for the prices charged. First, it was hard to open or close the door of the hotel room, simply too old. There was dust everywhere in the room. You could see it was not properly cleaned. One of the bed sheets has a whole in it!!! The receptionist could not care less when I complained, giving some stupid excuses about the manager and the cleaning staff. The best of it all - the "do not disturb" sign is hand-made and then put in plastic - a work of a kid. Not professional at all! Laughable!
Facilities - The swimming pool is in a dark and airless basement, stinking of chlore. Then the sauna - my God - it is the size of an American fridge!!! Very badly maintained and scary - needed to ensure that it didn't blow up. I'm very, very disappointed.
And don't even think about eating there - the breakfast is so meagre, no wonder included in the price. Terrible servie ("it is my first day in the job so don't ask me any questions"). Truly unprofessional. The kids playground is not maintained either, dirty and disgusting.
PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A REAL RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a family room with a sea view - well there was a sea view but it was best to view it sitting down because the first thing we saw was a rather mossy and large roof, with cigarette butts in the corner,which was immediately below our room. There was a terrace, but it obviously isn't checked very often as many of the tiles were loose. There were some nice touches - the art work was good, but the paintwork could do with some touching up. The room was ok, not fabulous, a little bit off 4-star if I am honest. We stayed 3 nights and I was rather disappointed to see that the loo was not cleaned after our second night.
Breakfast was plentiful and fine with a great view of the sea.
The staff were pleasant, but the main reason for staying here has to be location. You walk out of the hotel and you are on the paths along the top of the dunes, in one direction is the Het Zwin nature reserve. Watch out for the bikes.
There is a swimming pool. Quite small but very clean. I liked it, especially the fact that I had it to myself, but the children found it a bit creepy - it's in the basement - nevertheless they used it every day!
Bit on the dear side for the facilities but hotels here are a bit dear.

Wonderful location for long (beach) walks with dog, great hotel: friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice sauna & swimming pool, but above all..... The sea view!! Definitely a come-backer :-)
great restaurants within walking distance (the 'Zeemeeuw' beach cabin towards the Zwin, 'de Branding' towards the village to name but a few)...
