Stayed two nights in early May in this hotel. It is perfectly situated just outside the town center, though just inside ZTL, guests are allowed to reach the hotel. This makes the hotel a good base to drive to visit other towns. The hotel is well maintained. Our room on the third floor is spacious, clean and with a great view. Also, the front desk staff was very helpful, especially Patrizia. She was responsive in email exchange when we reserved the room. During our stay, besides recommending restaurants, etc. she also went out of her way to help us find US international operator so we can resolve a credit card fraud alert situation. All in all, a great stay in Spoleto.

We were travelling with a group of 25 for a week. The hotel was well-situated, with lovely views in all directions. Our room was large and well-equipped, although there was no long hanging space in the wardrobe. Our bathroom with large shower was modern and immaculately clean. The food, both at breakfast and dinner was excellent. In our 7 night stay we had a different menu every evening. On our last day a special gateau was made for us. All the staff were friendly, helpful and charming. It was wonderful to come back after a day of sight-seeing to a warm welcome. The hotel is very well- situated for an easy walk in to town, and Spoleto itself has much to offer.

Hotel Dei Duchi is an excellent choice for visiting Spoleto. It is very central with very good restaurants, bars, museums all in easy walking distance. Our room had a splendid view of the hills and was very bright and airy. Beds comfortable. staff very accommodating. Breakfast was good - a buffet with boiled eggs, cheeses, cold meats, pastries, juice, fruit, yogurts etc and very good coffee.
There is a bar but we never seemed to be there at a time when it was manned so didn't actually manage a drink there. But it didn't matter as there are plenty of bars in the town.
All in all a very good hotel - I would recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful town of Spoleto.

Spoleto is a fantastic small town full of awesome food. The hotel Dei Duchi is in a great location, walking distance into town and the underground moving sidewalks entrance just across the street. A great, easy way to get to the higher points of town. Most rooms have great views. The rooms are somewhat basic, but very clean.

We spent one night (October 4, 2016) at this hotel after spending hours researching places to stay in Spoleto. We liked that it was next to the pedestrian entrance to the city, adjacent to the ancient theater ruins, had free parking, and was modern and clean. Also, reasonably priced.
We had a balcony room overlooking a playing field and the countryside. Warm front desk greeting and parking advice. Elevators for getting luggage upstairs. Decent breakfast in airy, windowed dining room.
Room was just as in pictures -with the light colored wood cabinets, and modern bathroom. Only problem for us was that we were there between seasons, and the hotel heating system was not yet turned on for what was an unexpectedly cold and nasty October night. We were shivering and freezing, but staff brought us extra duvets and we survived!
I would look forward to staying at this modern, well-situated establishment again!
