we very two couples, who stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel was a little old and a little worn out, but not in a bad way. The owner delivered very good service, and cared a lot for the guests.
The Rooms were fine, with fantastic view over the Mediterranean Sea. Some noise in the morning, mostly from young seagulls begging for food.

So happy we chose this as our home base while exploring the area for several days. Room and facilities are kept immaculate, and the location being across from the waterfront added to the beauty and serenity of the area. The owner, Julio, is a true gentleman, and a font of information. My wife would have us return if only to indulge in his morning cappuccinos, taken daily on the front veranda. If you don't need ritzy/glitzy, this is the place in Bordighera.

Staying at Hotel Della Punta for 2 nights with grandparents and teenage son, and we all couldn't be happier. It's a small European style hotel for sure and not much has appeared to change in many years (except the bathrooms which are redone & modern), but everything works well, it's very clean, there is AC in the rooms, and the owner is efficient and friendly. Good simple breakfast served promptly on a covered terrace. Located at the quiet end of the promenade and a minute walk to the beach. Nice place to stay to enjoy the town of Bordi, the beach, and easy to drive to visit small, quaint hillside towns near by.(owner recommended a couple nice places to visit, excellent.)

We have just returned from a week spent at Della Punta and endorse all the comments previously written in praise of this hotel, everything about it is pleasing and it is run to the highest professional standards.
Easily accessible free wifi throughout was a bonus.

This small hotel is family owned and run. It is very charming and provides a real Italian small town experience. The location is great--right by the water and our room had a great view of the water.
The lobby was professionally decorated years ago in a sophisticated style that is very endearing today. Pale blue complementary patterns are on the drapery, lamps and furniture as well as the breakfast place settings. It is like stepping back in time and feels very comfortable.
The owner and staff are helpful and glad to have you there as a guest. Bordighera is well located between San Remo and the French border with easy bus service to San Remo or Ventimiglia. All trains that go through Bordighera stop there and the hotel is in walking distance of the station. The hotel is well situated very near the water, right behind some much more expensive hotels. Try to get there for the Thursday market where you can walk the nearby promenade, Lungomare Argentina, and find fabulous bargains from shoes, to gloves, to sweaters to great food.
The breakfast at the hotel is great and the coffee is fabulous, served in silver pitchers with a matching pitcher of steamed milk. Get you day started here and walk across the street for the entrance to a park that leads to the old town , or Bordighera Alta.
This is a great place to stay in a little visited part of Italy.
