This hotel is run by two sisters and is situated a 15 minute walk outside Annecy but don’t let this put you off as it’s a lovely walk around the Lake or there is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. The hotel is lovely with lots of parking. The rooms are all modern and comfortable and upon entering the Hotel you immediately feel comfy and relaxed unlike a number of hotels it has a bath which really pleases Sally as she is a bath rather than shower person, the views from the hotel are stupendous and if you have a lake view room it’s just magical, lookout onto the Lake and try to describe the colours! The bar is also great and the girls have some really excellent local beers. Breakfast is excellent situated in a room built into the mountain stone. The bread is brilliant and breakfast on the whole is really good value. Once again English is spoken by the sisters and though they moved from Paris to Annecy the certainly know this part of France.
Would we go back? Yes like a shot Annecy is a lovely part of the World and the sisters running Hotel des Marquisats can be proud of the fact that they are also part of the reason as to why Annecy is so good.
You really must go and stay. Fly to Geneva and get a taxi if you are not driving it’s well worth it.

The owner of the hotel, Alexandra, seems the old friend of mine.
She and her family members, and the hotel staff are very friendly.
It is one of the most charming hotels in the world, and the building of the hotel is very original.
If I have a chance to visit this city, I will stay at this hotel.
I took a taxi from train station.
Going to the hotel was 11 euros, and the returning to the station was 18 euros.

A quaint little hotel, only 20 minutes walking distance from the old city of annency and right in front of a quiet park where you can swim in the beautiful lake! The room can get a little hot in the summer time.

Hotel is about 1.5 km from town; a pleasant walk. There is also a bus during workday hours. Our room had a spectacular view. However, the bed was a minimal double bed with the walls of the wardrobes right against the bed. A little too tight. We were warned that in opting for the best view, our shower would be short (top floor ceiling) and it was. Staff was very helpful; breakfast was very good.

Awesome staff. Comfortable room. Very good breakfast. The hotel has its own parking, which is a plus in Annecy, where parking is difficult. Perhaps a 10-minute walk into town on a very scenic path along the lake. I would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors of Lake Annecy. When I mentioned to the lovely lady at the desk that I was practicing my French, she kindly spoke slowly and we had a good chuckle at my attempts and our resultant "Frenglish"
