Our Backroads tour group chose the Dobra Vila for an excellent tasting of Slovenian wines with select appetizers and cheeses before dinner. THe hotel is charming, the service excellent and the food very good. The wine selection is excellent and service very good.

We only spent one night in this beautiful hotel in Bovec but could have easily spent a few more in Bovec, exploring its surroundings. The attention to detail is amazing and the service impeccable.
The room was spotless, spacious and the double bed very comfortable. The bathroom had a clawfoot bath with a handheld shower.
We also had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and again were not disappointed. A tasty set menu was offered with matching wines for each course.
Highly recommended.

Firstly, I find it unacceptable, that a hotel, which is boasting its exceptional kitchen on its webpage, does not find it necessary to reserve a table for its guests.
Secondly, when we return from town to the hotel, you, the manager, denied us an after dinner drink at your bar, due to the fact that you are "busy"!
Both actions show your total disrespect to your guests.
These experiences continued when we wanted breakfast at 7h00, as announced at check-in and as advertised in your rooms.
These events indicate that the management of the hotel leaves much to be desired and would need some more training to prevent damage to the reputation of this hotel.

We stayed 3 nights and it was heavenly. It was a little more than we would normally pay but within 5 minutes of arrival we decided it was worth it. We received a warm welcome, which continued for our stay. Whenever we wanted a tea or coffee we just had to ask and it was served on the beautiful deck. The room was spacious, the dinner good and breakfast superb. We would return in a second,

Beautiful surrounding, building, garden. All very clean and neat. Rooms large, very clean, great sleep there. Dinner was great 5 course with wine degustation to go along each course. Breakfast fresh, eggs done on request.
Would recommend for couples, place very quiet and peaceful.
