What People are saying

Great experience!

rellaford72on 03/11/2016 05:15

Great experience in this comfortable, convenient hotel. Walking distance to all parts of town. Room was basic but very clean Breakfast was very good with lots of variety.
We want to especially thank Natalia, the owner, for loaning us some cash temporarily since we did not have enough euros to travel on the boat to Cinque terra due to a rail strike the day we were going to the villages. We highly recommend the Hotel Europa, as a great place to stay and to use as a base of operations for visiting Cinque Terra villages.

Cozy and intimate hotel in central Levanto!

lostbyon 09/10/2016 15:26

The hotel is located in the city center of Levanto. We emailed the hotel before our arrival to book a free parking pass. We dropped off out luggage, got the pass and went to park the car - a short walk from the hotel. Super!

The rooms are small, but the beds are comfortable and the room has everything you need.
The breakfast is good too. Many hotels in Italy does not offer breakfast, so this was very nice!
The service was excellent and the staff are happy to help you and give you travellers tips etc.

The hotel is a short 10 min walk from the train station if you are to travel to the Cinque Terre-cities!

Great Service

The room was small but the friendly service made up for for it. The room was clean and the breakfast was fresh. The owner went out of her way to make us comfortable.
The location is central - close to everything.

Basic stay

Was St the Hotel Europa for three nights last week. Location is great. Short walk to the beach area and plenty of restaurants close by. We had the top floor where you can hang clothes or towels and there is a few tables and chairs good for your own Happy hour.

Perfect Stay for Exploring Cinque Terra Region

Rachelle Con 08/08/2016 03:07

I arrived in Levanto via Stresa then Milan Centrale. I was so excited to be in the Cinque Terra region. I stayed at Hotel Europa as a sole traveler from July 17th to July 21st. Upon arriving in Levanto at the train station (please, please remember to always validate your train ticket; station masters do periodically check and will fine you if validation is not done). I walked to the hotel with my backpack and luggage. I did have some difficulty finding it, but I stopped someone on the street and she helped me (I have no problem stopping strangers and asking for help; I do it all the time when traveling). I arrived about 5:30 and was greeted with a smile. I did not do "full board", so when I saw the dinner menu. I signed myself up. Dinner is at 8 and you sit at your assigned table (based on room number). Dinner was 25 Euros (appetizer -> vegetable salad bar; stuffed pasta with walnut sauce; pork with potatoes and dessert; compliments to the chef -> everything was delicious even the breakfast offerings). I took the Cinque Terra Express (one day pass 16 Euro; one stop/one way 4 Euro, so it was a no-brainer). The Express is the best way to get around. The Path of Love was closed due to rock slide. My favorites were Riomaggiore and Manarola. Monterosso beach was very busy with tourists (but that is expected in this region). The hotel told me about the walk to Framura via Bonassola through old train tunnels. This was a highlight. The first night I walked to Bonassola (you see people jogging, walking, rollerblading, biking). I took a little hike to view Bonassola from cliffside. The next morning I borrowed a bike from the hotel (I did this a couple of times) and went to Framura. Be prepared with your camera and of course, there are many stops along the way for beach time, so wear your suit and bring a towel. Gelato is a must anytime and anywhere in Italy (it won't disappoint no matter the flavor). This area is know for their lemons. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach. A sunset walk is a priority. What gorgeous, colorful sunsets! I asked the hotel staff about various hikes, scuba diving and Portofino (of which, they gave me exact directions - train ticket to Rapallo then take ferry) Portofino is well worth the adventure and sight. I look forward to coming back to this area and will most definitely stay at Hotel Europa again. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Europa for making me feel comfortable and your helpfulness throughout my stay!
