A few positive notes

We booked this hotel for price and convenience and having a overnight layover from airport. The shuttle service was very friendly and did not take too long to arrive. This hotel is over 15 minutes away from hotel. We checked in before 11pm, hungry and thirsty we asked the clerk if the bar was still open since it stated open until 12am. She rudely said no, we asked about food and offered to buy a drink for the room. She rudely responded that we had enough time to get a car and drive somewhere or call dominos pizza. We were confused because the sign outside and on the bar stated it was open until 12am, also the bartender or employee was sitting at the bar.
The room looked like it was once a nice room however has not been maintained.. The floor runner was ripped up. A shelf or light was ripped off the wall and there were rust stains on the ceiling. The beds were nice and the bathroom was clean. Toiletries were provided. Another positive note, the hotel provides free wifi and breakfast.

Worth the price...

I read a lot of reviews before booking. Some were valid...some kind of picky. We got to the hotel 10ish on a Friday night. Waze took us the back way to avoid traffic and my wife kind of freaked. I didn't think the neighborhood was bad, but we drove through light industrial areas, which were pretty vacant on Friday night. When we got there parking was tight, although we did find a legal space. The sports bar was packed, with smokers overflowing into the parking area. So first impressions were not wonderful.

Checkin was fine. All the staff we encountered were good, no complaints. The only standout was the woman staffing the hot breakfast...she was hustling every time I saw her. The food was usually hot, fresh and good (real breakfast, not continental). She fell behind once, briefly when the wedding family all came down together but it didn't take her long to restock.

My wife travels with cleaning supplies and she said the rooms were pretty good (i.e. clean).

Our daughter just moved to Jersey City, which is a 20 minute drive. I will have no problems staying here again on our next visit.

Awful experience

We stayed here on Saturday, October 14, 2017. While the hotel itself appeared clean it definitely has some wear and tear. The bed was super hard and the wallpaper was peeling along with cracks in the ceiling. However, my biggest complaint was they closed the restaurant/bar down at 8 that night for a private party. When we got back to our hotel at 11 there was no parking at all other than in illegal spots. I finally just drove up on a curb into a grassy area so we could park. The party was in full swing. The hotel wasn't even close to full capacity yet they booked our room in the end of the hotel that was right over the party so we got to hear the bass thumping from the party until around 1 am. I would not recommend staying here unless your only other option is sleeping the car.

A good place for a short stay

A pleasant roads motel. The room is spacious and comfortable. Reasonably good breakfast. Alas the breakfast has a serious service snag. It only lasts til 9:00, and exactly on this hour, everything was removed immediately off the counters. This is not done. If someone came 10 minutes earlier, took a coffee before getting an egg - he was left without breakfast. Usually you stop replenishing the trays, but allow people to finish their breakfast peacefully within 20-30 minutes.

Not our best experience

I don't like to write bad reviews, but I have to be honest. We had to wait 2 hours for the driver to pick us up at the airport. We called 4 times. He said he had errands so he didn't come get us when called. The front desk girl had chaos going in the lobby from a very large and noisy family that had been there all day. Our room was fine except there were stains on the carpet and a very large stain in front of the door in the hallway. There isn't anywhere to eat except at the hotel. The food was fine, went back to our room and suddenly our door was being opened. They did not knock but tried to come right in. They said they were with housekeeping, but we felt they had other motives and thought we were not in the room. This was at night, not a normal time for a housekeeping visit. I wrote to the manager about this and have never received a response. Could be a good hotel, but not close to anything and definitely needs to be cleaned.
